Phone ringing only once
My home phone only rings once and then cuts off mostly, and sometimes doesn't ring at all when people have told me they are trying to ring me on it. This has been happening for about two weeks now. Last week I rang EE, as I read it might be the handset itself. I got told it is due to a broken or faulty cable in the junction box, and they will email and text me when BT have fixed it. I haven't had any communication from them since I reported the fault last Wednesday (18th Feb) at 4.30pm. I work from home, in IT, and as most of my clients still phone me on the landline, do you think I can claim compensation? And, if so, what if they say no?

If you're on a business contract you may get some compensation.
On a home broadband contract that you use for working you're unlikely to receive anything contractually for a small fault, you would need a complete loss of service.
You may get a small goodwill payment for the inconvenience.2 -
You could ask if they could temporarily route landline calls to your mobile number, until fixed.
Plus net did this for me a few years back when I had landline troubles
