Is there any way to find out what current account I had/with which bank, from back in 2024?
hi, I’m required to provide bank statements to the council from 2024 but as an avid bank switcher have no memory of which bank I was with so I’ve gone through all my emails but can’t locate the specific bank during the six months in 2024 I require
I’ve tried googling how to find out and it seems a credit report is recommended but I don’t want to go through that process so I was hoping there would be a simple alternative to find out who I was banking with/had a current account with in February October 2024
And ideally a free wwaty oydoing so, as I see credit rating reports come with a charge
And as I only require the name of the ban(so I can call them and request the statements)k I was with I feel signing up for a full credit a bit-too much
Thank you

Just sign up for a free CRA view service like ClearScore. It will only show current accounts, not savings, and it's not a 100% track record if there was no overdraft facility on it. Looking at my own I can see a Starling joint account is missing from the report but my sole account is there.

The credit karma app will show your closed accounts from the last 6ish years

Why not? It is simple and would give you the information that you seek.

No, you can get your credit report free of charge from any/all of the CRA's.

It is a simple process and by far the easiest way to achieve what you are looking for.

'Statutory Credit Reports' are available for free from the three credit ratings agencies…
Experian will send you a passcode in the post in order to access your report, so this will take 5 days or so to get. In contrast, Equifax and TransUnion will provide your report immediately online.
Experian and Equifax would of course love it if you paid them fifteen quid a month each so they can tell you their made up number (aka 'credit score'). I think that £15 / £30 a month is rather better spent (or saved) elsewhere!0
