printer and vista

I have a Lexmark 1200 printer,which works fine on my desktop,pc (xp).I have bought a laptop (vista) and tried to install printer on it,but i keep getting message saying cannot communicate with printer.Appears to have installed proply on th laptop.Any advice please?

  • Yes! I ran into the same problem. Go to Lexmark's website and you will find a patch you can download. Should work smooth as silk from there. They also have tech support who are extremely helpful if you run into any problems!

    you will have to download and install drivers that are compatible with vista.

    try this driver download.

    Drivers.

    Unless you are tring to print wireless throught the XP machine, but even then you need the VISTA drivers installed on the laptop.
