DCBL "Final Reminder" - Permit did not cover the time and date of parking

I (registered keeper) received "Notice of Debt recovery" and "Final Reminder" from DCBL recently, for an incident in 2023, 3 years ago. No correspondence was received before this, possibly due to overlap with change of vehicle registered address at the time.

The letter claims "The P&D permit purchased did not cover the date and time of parking", potentially suggesting a small overstay. The claimed charge is £140. It's so long ago I have no real memory of the incident but do remember the car park.

The MSE AI bot suggested writing to Euro Car parks but the letter it drafted seemed rather weak and compromising (too generous on detail etc).

Could anyone advise on best course of action please? Thank you

Give DCBL the correct address for the service of papers, in writing or Via the app, then ignore DCBL and their letters

    Yep just do as above.

There is zero point contacting ECP but you should (temporarily) get the DCB app and update your address that way.

Still unsure that we are right?

Just click on the words underneath the little red 'MSE link' in the small 'Parking Ticket Appeals' banner at the top of this page which leads to the MSE Guide to fight PCNs.

Same info is shown in both this forum and in that Guide, as regards the debt recovery letters being a futile stage and ignoring these demands being risk-free as long as you don't miss or ignore a Court Claim (easy to defend). Consistent advice here is easy to find and not just from random strangers.

The MSE Guide is official 'Martin Lewis backed' advice. Play the game. It will end with discontinuance of a court claim because they are hearing shy. Very very easy.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks everyone. I will ignore them and will ignore the MSE bot.
