"I submitted to their email address as a response as a PDF attachment with the evidence attached and copied in DCB legal. Should I also submit on MCOL platform too or this is enough?"

We don't recommend that any more; emailing a defence doesn't appear in the 8 steps. This is because the CNBC loses or takes too long to update MCOL with emails.

Also if you didn't sign it under a statement of truth, it's not a valid defence anyway.

Stick to the first 8 steps.

I did add a statement of truth and a signature at the end, so hopefully it's fine. I have logged back onto MCOL but I cant find an option to submit a defense now and can see the original AoS submission but this doesnt have an option for a defense? Any ideas?

I can't see it. Do they send a separate letter one you submit your AoS with a new password for the 'Defense Pack Password' (the original one doesnt seem to work that I used to submit the AoS)?

    It does still work.

Check you aren't reading a lower case l (ell) as a capital I (eye) or a zero as a O.

It definitely isn't working - I've tried every combination, and used different browsers and an incognito browser, so it must be the system itself. I'll have to get in contact with them to resolve

No, they'll tell you an out of date email address to use! Seen this before.

Instead, you'll have to do the defence using a word doc with a statement of truth added at the bottom and signature & date, then save it as a PDF and email it to the Claim Responses email seen in the listed emails in the Template Defence thread.

This WILL delay MCOL being updated so don't leave it till the last week

    MCOL support said:

There should be an option there to file a defence once you click into the claim, if you are not able to see this you will need to file your defence via email.

So that's helpful of them! 😂

According to this post from earlier you have already sent it by email - not sure why you attached evidence (and what was it) as this comes later in the process at witness statement stage.
