Drawing from an inherited SIPP pot - MPAA is NOT triggered?
Anyone else read the article in today’s Telegraph?
Quite apart from the imminent changes to the fee structure, I think what I’ve read this morning (assuming I’ve understood it correctly), is probably the final straw for me.
Over the last few years, I’ve had cause to raise complaints about the service I’ve received - I won’t go into specifics here - but suffice to say that I’ve increasingly come to the conclusion that replies give the impression of being more of a ‘copy and paste’ type standard reply, rather than specifically addressing the points raised.
I have previously raised specific queries about the procedure(s) involved when an ‘Expression of Wish’ is actioned on death of the SIPP holder. In my case, I have both UK and overseas beneficiaries listed. I suppose it makes sense now to go back through what I’ve been told to make sure I haven’t misunderstood anything.

Sorry. I overlooked/forgot about that as I have a Telegraph subscription.

Yes. It's clear that HL has found itself on the Telegraph's current target list. The DT does this with companies periodically.
I thought the person moaning was a bit over the top, saying she had to go to an accountant and a lawyer. She may as well have added a plumber and a builder, given her choice of professions that wouldn't know about MPAA……
“I had to go to the accountant and lawyer to make sure this was incorrect. If they’d adhered to the warnings and not done it, it would have just been really sad – and sad for my dad. He would have probably had to find the money elsewhere.”
