Changing energy tariff to fixed lighter mse feb27v1

Hello

I'm currently on a British gas dual fuel fixed tariff v94

The fixed lighter mse feb27v1 British gas tariff is cheaper

Would I be able to switch with no penalty charge as both are fixed British gas tariffs ?

Generally BG allow free transfers to another BG tariff. Have you asked them?

Check carefully the t&cs of your existing tariff agreement, but generally BG will allow you to switch to another fixed tariff that has early exit fees that matures later than your existing tariff, without incurring any early exit fee.

It does say on current tariff I can swap to another British gas fixed tariff with no charge , the mse tariff is not an option from British gas app hence the question

Will double check tomorrow via British gas chat

Checked via BG chat no charge to swap as currentlyhave a BG fixed tariff

Hope it goes through as looks like alot of people are having problems

Out of interest how much are you looking to save?

To be honest as already on a good fixed only about £50. but it all helps

However all these savings add up , helps with everything going up in price to get best value
