That is good, you need to get the registered keeper changed to your name and tax and insure the cars in your name without delay.
As for the money in the bank I would simply tell them that you do not know the whereabouts of his nearest relatives then forget it.

Thank you once again. I will do as you advise.

Citizen's Advice are unlikely to be able to help with this - it's a specialist area. You would need to talk to a solicitor who specialises in issues like this - claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

I suspect the static caravan is a bigger issue. How would the site fees be paid going forward? They could drain value from the estate quite quickly.
As for identifying his half nephews/nieces, many libraries have a version of Ancestry that you can access free of charge. Assuming England or Wales, there are also the free gro.gov.uk indexes.
I'd suggest finding your partner's birth in the indexes, so you understand how they work. Then see if you can find his half brother's birth and death. Hopefully you can then find the brother's marriage?

Although unmarried partners can't apply directly to deal with an intestate estate, you can ask a court to appoint you as administrator if you can show that there is no-one else to do it.
But, again, you need specialist advice.

Thank you. Yes, the site fees are paid for this year. I can certainly go to the library and see what I can find out, but in what way would this benefit me? Sorry if that sounds like a silly question. On top of all this, not only am I grieving, but I have an inquest to get through as well.

Oh okay. It sounds like I need to speak to a solicitor, but again this all costs money. I just feel as if my life has been turned upside down at the moment. Thank you.
