Overcast here with a threat of rain, will make the most of no rain at the moment!

Sorry to hear of your Sister's diagnosis Izzy, hope she can get the treatment she needs swiftly.

This talk of clean windows is putting me to shame, mine are filthy after a very wet and windy winter - really must get round to cleaning them soon (when it's not raining!).

Morning everyone

Dry again today, yesterday I managed to get washing almost dry outside, first time in ages, it had a lovely fresh smell.

I went with mam to her doctors appointment yesterday, she is very low in iron so has been put on iron tablets. She needs to go back in 2 months to have bloods taken again, then another appointment with the doctor. I looked it up when I came home and the symptoms of anaemia do match how she's been, we'll just have to wait and see. By the time she was home, just 10 minutes later, she had forgotten what the doctor had said.

I went for her shopping and then spent a nice couple of hours with my friend over the road.

I'd best get moving and make my packed lunch, back to work today. Hope everyone has a good day x

Garage door fitter is here. He suggested a French Polisher and some filler for the dented cedar wood door. No thank you - previous doors were 80% filler and no way are we putting up with that. DH has just had to clear the entire double garage for the doors to be hooked up properly (ie not via a dangling extension lead). I sent a strongly worded email to the company citing our consumer rights and they have acknowledged it. We await next steps but hopeful to have two working doors today. Replacement door and door frames need to be ordered.

I’m off to London tonight to see High Noon with DSis and DD. Before that though I will steam clean the inside windows downstairs, seeing as I’m housebound again today.

Happy Birthday @ScarletRibbons hope you are having a nice relaxing day. It's actually been quite nice and bright and 12 deg. today.Took Ldog out early as I had a shopping order at 9.30 - all present and correct. I made some meatballs for tea, and some tater hash for DH who isn't fond of meatballs.

Just rung our friends, she was busy painting so didn't stop on as long as usual.

Right better go and sort these meals out, have a nice evening.
