New boiler - no gas certificate
I had a new gas boiler fitted last year and the fitter made a really good job of it. I never did receive a (gas safe) certificate for it. He now seems to have vanished into thin air.
I'm a little concerned about when we finally come to sell our property in a few years time.
I'm not sure where to go from here and would like some advice on what to do, please…
Thanks in advance
Bruno

Pay a Gas Safe engineer to inspect and certify the boiler.

Check that the new boiler was registered with your local council. It should have been done within 30 days and they would then have provided you with a Buildings Regulation Compliance Certificate. Your installer should have done this. You can also check if the installer was registered with Gas Safe.

You do not need a gas safety certificate for your own home (assuming you are not letting it out, etc).
But you do need building regs approval certificate for the new/replacement boiler.
Did you check the installer was gas safe registered before they carried out the work? If so, they can self certify the installation and should have notified the local authority within 30 days of completion as per jaybeetoo's post above.
Check the gas safe register to find out if the installer is still registered. If so, you should see their current contact details.
Alternatively, check this out to see if you can get a duplicate certificate
Gas Safety Certificates & Records - Gas Safe Register
If still no success ,and the installer has disappeared without trace, (or was not gas safe registered) then probably best to contact your local building regs department for advice. Normally if the installer is not permitted to self certify, you need to notify them in advance of the installation.

I recently had my boiler replaced and had to register on the baxi website to get my documents

Google provided the following suggestion:
Steps to Take:Check for Existing Certification:First, verify whether the installer notified theGas Safe Registeras they may have done so, and you can order a replacement certificate from them for a small charge (Goolse said £8.10 but this may be slightly out of date).Apply for Regularisation:If no record exists, contact your Local Authority Building Control (LABC) department to apply for a regularisation certificate for work done after 11 November 1985.Inspection and Remedial Work:A surveyor will inspect the installation. If it doesn't meet safety standards, you may need to hire a Gas Safe engineer to correct it before the certificate is issued.Costs:Fees are determined by the local authority based on the cost of the work and inspection

I would:
A) register the installation with the manufacturer, this often gives you a longer warranty.
B) get a gas safety certificate done to confirm that the installation is safe.
When you eventually come to sell, you can show both and hopefully the buyers will be satisfied.

As it was new last year you will be needing the first annual service so what I would do if me would be to contact the maker and get to know who his official local service agents are and get the service done in order to preserve the warranty and ask them about certification.

I suspect you may be confusing manufacturers warranty with gas safe registration

You can check if it has been registered with the Gas Safe Register on their website - https://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/gas-safety/gas-safety-certificates-records/building-regulations-certificate/order-replacement-building-regulations-certificate/
Enter your house number and postcode, and it will list out the certificates associated with the property. You can also order replacement certificates on there.
