Defending a claim from DCBL

Hi

I have received a claim from DCBL and have acknowledged it on money claim.

Although I didn't receive a NTK and have specified this, I'm not sure what to put in my defence I wasn't the driver, but have had no other contact with them apart from informing them I didn't receive a NTK.

Is there a specific part of the forum or NEWBIES thread I should be reading to help me with my dense?

I appreciate any help and apologies ig this is covered somewhere that I cannot find.

Name the private parking company claimant involved

AND It wasn't DCBL, its via DCB LEGAL

Post the Issue date from the top right of the claim form and post the date that you completed the AOS stage online

  • Thank you, sorry if I'm being stupid, but when I click on the link for defence template, it doesn't seem to take me there. I'm guessing I will need to file a defence quite soon but not sure I have a case as my main defence if not receiving a Notice to Keeper, which I'm sure will not hold up.

  • Hi,

Sorry yes it's Parking eye through DCB Legal. Issue date 17 Feb 26 and I completed the AOS today (23/2).

  • Thank you.

I have found the paragraphs now and believe I should use the first two from the second post by Coupon-mad.

I notice that in my POCs it says that D was issued a PC by the claimant. Is this referring to the NTK? As I didn't; t receive one. Also would this be considered specifying the breach?

This is a DCB Legal claim on behalf od ParkingEye Ltd, should I post a redacted picture of the POCs?

It is from May last year and I can;t remember if I was the driver, but I don't believe so.

    Yes.

Does it have a full stop instead of a reason?

No worries, there is no breach specified so use the Template Defence but with the linked DCB Legal / ParkingEye para 3.

No need to show us as it leaves nothing for you to write yourself unless there is something compelling like it was pitch black at night.

  • That's amazing thank you.

To be super clear, I use all 10 paragraphs with para 3 from the "strike out" link and submit on the MCOL?

Should I wait for a hearing date before doing this?

Would you like to be updated as to any progress?
