To celebrate The Great British Treasure Hunt, whether or not you’re taking part in our epic new quest, we’re inviting you to put your skills to the test to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

For our third quest, we’re giving you the chance to win The Silver Sovereign 2026. With an impressive history dating back to 1489, The Sovereign has become known as the ‘chief coin of the world’ because of its accuracy and reliability. Marking only the second time in our history that we have struck The Sovereign in silver, this coin makes the perfect addition to any coin enthusiast’s collection.

In addition, we are also giving away a copy of The Royal Mint Puzzle Book, containing 125 rewarding puzzles for all the family – including the one you are hopefully about to solve! Crack cryptic codes inspired by precious metals, untangle brain teasers fit for a royal court and decipher ancient secrets hidden in plain sight.

To be in with a chance of winning this prize bundle, answer the following multiple-choice question correctly …

Solve the clues and put the letters in the appropriate spaces in the grid.

When all nine letters are in place, the name of a famous coin will be revealed.

Where are we supposed to enter the answer? The boxes aren't clickable on laptop or phone…. should there be multiple choice buttons below?

I need to think of something new here...

It was working back in February, there was a multi-choice type form set up, but it seems to have been removed. Maybe they closed it early?
