Depends on how long before the hearing they discontinued, less than a week might be useful, BUT, you might have to pay the hearing fee, so probably not worth it despite the trouble they put you to

Your victory should suffice, but do post a redacted picture of the N279 discontinuation document

Thank you @Horizon_Dawn for the copy of your NoD . I can now get this counted in the DCBL Legal thread of shame. 👍

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

    Yay! As you said:

    ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!

    Congrats!

Oh, and I have noted your WS as a nice uncomplicated one (with Mazur but otherwise a straightforward 'story') as a good example WS for future newbies so you have left a legacy here!

This might be helpful for others actually @Coupon-mad regarding the case files for Mazur and Beavis. I did a pdf splitter to show the relevant pages as the following

    Mazur Case

    • Page 1: To show the case name, date (16/09/2025), and Neutral Citation.
    • Page 3 (Paragraph 7): Where it explains that an employee of an authorized firm is not entitled to carry out reserved legal activities (like conducting litigation) unless they are individually authorized.
    • Page 13 (Paragraph 48): Where the Judge explicitly rules: "Mr Middleton was not entitled to conduct litigation under the supervision of Mr Ashall".

    Beavis Case

    • Page 1: To show the case details and that it was an appeal from HHJ Moloney QC.
    • Page 3 (Paragraph 2.6): Which notes the £85 charge was a "traffic space maximisation scheme".
    • Page 16 (Paragraph 46): Where the court discusses why the charge exists—your goal here is to show that the Supreme Court felt the £85–£100 charge was already high enough to cover the business costs, making an extra £70 "debt fee" an unlawful "double recovery
