Wanting to visit orlando for a week then Miami for a week? Best way?

My girlfriend and I are wanting to go to Orlando for one week then down to Miami for one week around July, August 2008.....
What is the best way to do this? Go to a Travel Agents? or Book everything my self, flights, hotels, tranfers etc

Book it yourself.
Flights into Orlando and out of Miami, pick up car in Orlando and drop off at Miami.
Book your own hotels, stop for a few nights on the way down to Miami...Gulf Coast, Everglades, Sawgrass Mills for shopping etc..

any particular reason you want to stay in miami, not the most pleasant of places for the most part. you can take a cheap cruise from miami port though, i would suggest you spend a few days there then either do a mini cruise or go down to key west for a few days.0
