HSBC credit file reporting.
I have an Hsbc Current Account. Unfortunately, I allowed my account to go into an unauthorised overdraft.
My credit file reporting service has stated that not only have Hsbc reported this (no problem of course, this is the truth) but they have also put a late payment marker against my name.
Since no payments were scheduled and no agreement of a payment structure was agreed surely this part of the reporting is in error and should be removed as there is no "lateness" involved
Or am I completely wrong here?
Your advice would be very gratefully accepted.

How long were you overdrawn beyond the agreed limit?

a few weeks. I was waiting for an invoice to be paid and this was delayed.

You would have been required to bring your account out of unauthorised overdraft within a specific timescale set out in the terms and conditions, as you did not meet that timeframe they added the late payment marker.
