Good morning- just
Had a bit of a lie in this morning and so did my dog, she loves to sleep.
Nothing much planned for today apart from catching up with chores. Some washing to do and to clean the bathroom.
Have to take the dog for a walk, need to go before it starts raining today as at the moment it’s dry.
Also need to sort something out for dinner.
Have a good day everyone10 -
Good morning
Dry and sunny here, hope it lasts. Yesterday I did the shopping in-between the showers. Apparently while I was in the supermarket the heavens opened, dodged that one. Struck lucky as they had reduced a lot of salad and vegetables to half price. Will help the budget. Even bunches of daffodils were half price, still in bud, so a couple of bunches are brightening up the kitchen.
I got a joint of pork as we haven't had that in ages, so DH will have hot pork rolls tonight, then we'll have a roast tomorrow.
Haven't read back yet so hope everyone is OK. Have a good day all, take care.

Afternoon all. A mixed bag of weather today - sunshine, showers, windy/not windy (take your pick) but at least the temperature is in double figures. 😊
I must have been really tired last night, I slept like a log and was late up this morning. I've done what needs done though and am now chilling on my own as DS has gone out for a couple of hours to meet up with some mates. I've done a small wash-load but haven't hung it out because I'm not up to running in and out to rescue it from the showers today. Mr Postie brought a couple of letters, already filed away. There's a gammon joint doing in the SC for tomorrow and I've part cooked some cauliflower for cauli cheese. Tonight we're having chicken pies with ??? And I may treat myself to a small apple pie for afters; DS won't want one as he doesn't have a sweet tooth - unlike me! 😁 He seems to have an inordinate amount of toiletries (far more than I have), most of which are part-used, so I'm going to have to educate him in the art of 'put one of each in the bathroom to use up, then move on to the next etc' before buying any more.
@TA - Having DS here is getting my freezer stocks down a lot quicker and yes, the empty spaces will probably be making me twitchy soon.
@camelot - I hope the next heating person has more success - it would be a travesty if you need a replacement boiler after all those new parts.
@AA - Glad you had a pleasant break in Wales.
@Coxy - Fingers crossed Tuesday's garage door recce ends in more than just 'a discussion'.
@WL - Waiting time for cataract ops here are usually one to two weeks; the clinic I went to were real eager beavers at getting people in asap. I hope your DH doesn't have to wait 4 months.
@Ruby - I think providing refreshments and tidying up after your DH's handiwork is more than enough for one day! 😁
@Gers - I hate buying bras which probably explains why I wear mine to death before buying new. Come to think of it, I hate any clothes shopping. 😕
@remmie - Well done with the half price buys, especially the cheery daffs.
I feel a catnap coming on now so I'll wish everyone a pleasant weekend, whatever you might have in the pipeline. Take care. X
