Morning GERS and all to follow. Double figures on the cards for the temp today but of course it's still forecasting rain.
Up and at 'em early doors this morning as it's to be an early Sainsbobs trip today. DS has a big job on his hands sorting out their bathroom and he wants a full day at it. He wants to know how the cowboys who did the job in the first place got their glowing reviews! They have been back twice to try and sort it out to no avail so he has decided to sort it out himself.
I am to stick to my list but I am starting to get a bit twitchy now gaps are starting to appear in the freezer! Once a food hoarder forever a food hoarder it seems.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for those in need or want. Take care all x

Morning all
Woke up at 5.15am It's going to be a long day!
Weather forecast promises a dry day but a windy one so don't fancy being blown about in the garden so it will be a day indoors with baking, Olympics and rugby later!
Have a good day all x

Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers, glad you enjoyed the play and had a good journey.
It looks showery outside today, shame as I really have to go to the allotment this morning. I haven't been able to get there with not having the car, having the little one, etc. I would imagine the potatoes are starting to re-grow but I'll have to dig them up anyway. I have more already chitted ready to go in.
Got lots of fiddly little jobs done at work yesterday, glad they are out of the way. Came home and dusted the living room, hoovered round, finished cleaning the children's bedroom and scrubbed out the shower. I was glad to sit down after that!
I heard from the heating folk yesterday - they are going to send someone else to look. Not holding my breath on having it fixed but the boiler will have had lots of new parts!
Hope everyone has a good day, take care. XX

Morning everyone
Back from a few days in Wales - some rain, some snow, some fog but another lovely little break and an excellent meet-up with very good friends that are always supportive and fun, and provide lots of laughs.
Given that it’s not raining 🤫 I might try and do a few things outside. Even though I’m trying not to, I’m already starting to worry about the amount of time the garden is going to need spent on it in the Spring.
Hope you all enjoy your weekend

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
Quiet-ish day here. Possibly picking up a FBMP item if the seller gets back to me. Will also do the food shop today at T’s. Garage door company coming on Tuesday for a recce and a discussion!
Glad the heating company has been in touch @camelot1001 and hope they can provide a solution this time. Hope the temporary car is working out.
Glad you had a nice time away @AlwaysAllie xHave a good day everyone

Morning all from Mehefinland
Just for a change….it's raining!!
Went to a lovely concert at Atlantic College yesterday - the students are coming on in leaps and bounds. It went on long past the advertised time but was very enjoyable- I am constantly amazed by the talents of these young people, and how confident they appear- I'm sure I was not like that at their age. The downside was I forgot to take my casserole out of the Rayburn before I went and it was a bit dried up - still very tasty though. The nags weren't too impressed either with their late tea lol.
This Friday coming their is a harp recital to celebrate Dydd Dewi Sant By Elinor Bennett so I've booked a ticket for that too - getting to be quite a gadabout.
Otherwise it's a 'same old' sort of day. Don't think I will waste an afternoon watching the rugby-it's getting painful.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning all. I saw sunshine when I woke up but it's vanished now!
Well, after DH's eye appointment yesterday it seems he has one eye far worse than the other but it's a 4 month wait for a cataract operation here. We're currently in discussion with Benenden about getting it done sooner but have to wait on the Consultant's report. Fingers crossed he can get one done before the end of March. We've been putting things on hold until we knew what was happening with his cataract so will just have to wait a bit longer.
Today we'll be popping up to the shops and then watching the rugby. Out tonight to a big Morris event round the M25 where we'll see a lot of friends. I'm doing all the night time driving atm so it's a good thing I don't really drink!
Hope everyone's day goes to plan with no unpleasant surprises.

Dry here for now but more rain due later 🙄 OH is going to set up in the conservatory with his tools to do the worktop, I shall be on hand for lifting and shifting and providing food and drinks, I am so looking forward to it being done.
Dinner tonight is chicken curry I have one of those spice mix kits, and the shop in the next village does a lot of Indian side dishes so I will pop along and get a few of them.
I did all the washing yesterday I have just taken the stuff off the airer and put in the TD for a quick spin before we have to move it, the rest of the washing can go on the airer overnight. Housework will be minimal today just tidying up after OH.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all, I haven't posted because DGS was staying with us and as usual we had a great time. Mind you he's very helpful and mainly looks after himself these days. This week we've had a mixed bag of weather of sun, rain and even snow, now today it's dry but windy. It's also 10 degrees thank goodness, I didn't like that coldness every day, I must be getting tid. I was also confused today as to what day it is, I was convinced it was Monday !!
I've put the dw on this morning and nothing else is earmarked for today but there are always plenty of little jobs to do around the house. Tea tonight will be hm chinese leftovers because shock horror DGS didn't eat everything this time ! Or maybe I just cooked/bought more than necessary 😁
Mehefin I agree about the rugby, we're rubbish now.
Camelot I hope you can get your heating fixed properly this time 🤞
WL I hope your Dh can get his op asap.
Coxy hope you get the doors fixed to your satisfaction.
TA I'm another food hoarder 🫢There I've admitted it, I wonder if there's an organisation for us to join.
Have a good Saturday all. Hugs to the poorly ones.
nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
I've been out and back again - had to do a return to Marks and also collect the replacement longer length trousers. Only did a little bit of shopping, got some YS chicken chunks which I've cooked already. Some time was spent doing some gentle ranting in Marks as the 'bosses' have decided to remove the rack of bras and replace it with men's vests! And they've removed the bedding and towel sections too, that'll hit the many tourists and holiday home owners. I'm going to complain about the bras, especially as I had ticked for the offer on my Sparks app yesterday and was planning on buying one today. Grrr.
The weather may be slightly milder but the rain is persistent. It's very fine, still wet, and there's low dense clouds too. I've got a washing load just finishing so it'll need to hung upstairs with the dehumidifier going. The other day I bought some eco-friendly liquid washing stuff which comes in a tin, like olive oil, so I'm keen to see if it's effective.
Got myself plonked in front of the TV watching the ski team mixed aerials, such madness! I hope that all are well, take care, hugs all round.
