EURO CAR PARKS - PAY AND DISPLAY TICKET

Hi all,

Registered keeper received NTK for allegedly not displaying a P&D ticket. The driver purchased a ticket in cash and displayed it. The PCN does not show evidence of the car not displaying a P&D ticket-only pictures of the vehicle coming in and out of the car park. ticket has since been thrown away.

Am I right in that this PCN/NTK is therefore invalid?

Relevant pictures attached.

It doesn't say you didn't display it, it says you didn't purchase it. It's either a keying error when entering your reg in the machine, or it's an error in their system.

Either way, follow the newbies thread, starting with Plan A - appeal to landowner to cancel the pcn.

The ticket receipt should have been retained for up to 6 months

ANPR nearly always only checks in and out times, with validation by VRM details and possibly correct payment

I would expect that the ECP NTK PCN letter was POFA compliant

No PCN is invalid, its an invoice, a demand for money for the alleged breach of the parking contract on that private property

Its either human error regarding input of the registration, or a faulty machine, they are prone to problems

The keeper should follow plan A and complain about it to the landowner, and if appealing state that the driver made full payment and no breach occurred

It will be a VRM keying error (often allegedly caused by Euro Car Parks' faulty keypads, not driver error) but you'll never have to pay this invoice anyway.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
