JP Morgan Personal Investing - £100 Cash Offer

If you tell it that you're extremely risk averse it'll put you in the lowest risk appetite category and invest your money largely in bonds.

Of course, I wouldn't consider that mix a cash proxy though. As you know I'm not risk averse but personally I like to define bonus hunting from my strategies that include risk. I would have used a modest element of my cash holdings to have gone for this offer. I recognise other may have a different approach but it's important to highlight the opportunity cost (or modest benefit, as the case may be!)

It's as close as you'll get with this and it's only £1,000. If it's broadly what someone's thinking of doing anyway then it's not much of a risk.

Inexperienced investors might not be aware that there's no proxy cash option on JPM. I feel like it's worth pointing out anyway, the upside after a year isn't attractive in my opinion, compared to risk free. But if you're going to invest in the same/similar elsewhere anyway, it might just be worth the tie in.

Plenty of inexperienced investors go for 100% equity and they go to JPM and other robo-investors for a helping hand so it's probably not really an issue. The £100 is a bonus.
