Morning,thanks for starting Gers.
It's dry here, I'm pleased because I visit a old friend every couple of weeks with a bit of shopping, and I'm going there this morning. It's a 2 bus journey., quite short journeys, but it's better if it doesn't rain,
I haven't posted for a couple of days, there's not been much going on here.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, I'll have to read back to see what everyone has been up to.
Thinking of sad/poorly people, take care folks.

Morning GERS I hope you enjoyed the show last night. Safe journey back. Well at the risk of sounding boring rain is due again today but at least it feels milder. And we are set to reach double figures over the w/e.
Yesterday's chores got done as planned and today is a whizz round up and down with a duster and vacuum. Such excitement!
IZZY solved my problem of what to have for dinner yesterday! Her mention of shepherd's pie tempted me and I got out a shepherd's pie base from the freezer and topped it with mash and did a few veg. Today I have a hankering for a piece of the smoked haddock I got the other week. An expensive treat - because I am worth it lol!
I hope Dp1 and family enjoy their mini trip to Edinburgh and she keeps well. Thoughts with anyone with worries and woes, take care all, be safe x

The Midsomer Murder play was really enjoyyable, it had a comedy twist which lightened it. Well worth the effort. Now I'm about to shower and head for the 9.00a.m.coach home. The hotel is full of German football fans who came back last night full of the joys.
Have a good day everyone. Hugs to all

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers, glad you enjoyed the show and safe journey home x
Busy day yesterday. Worked until 1:30pm then round to Mums for a visit from the local fire brigade to install smoke alarms then went to sort the MOT retest out. We had new electric garage doors fitted yesterday - complete disaster as one doesn’t work and the other has a dent in it. DH is expecting a call from the company today. Very annoyed.
@silver-oldie why not pop over to the Cross Stitch cafe and join us. We share makes and advice and would love to see you:
I’m seeing DSis and Mum today for lunch and will do some housework this afternoon. Dinner is grilled gammon, egg and chips mmmm.
Have a good day all

Good morning
Dry outside but guess what's forecast for later. Never mind, only some shopping to do today.
Yesterday I sorted out the tins cupboard, no surprises, just a couple of tins put at the front to be used first. Nice and tidy now how long for? Salmon, new potatoes and asparagus for tea tonight.
Izzy, you did make me laugh with your description of your DH, I also say to my DH it's being so grumpy that keeps him going.
Safe journey home Gers.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning, raining here. Not been out yet.Ldog has had his breakfast, had a wee and got back on his blanket on the sofa 😊
Glad you enjoyed the show Gers.
Our afternoon walk has mainly been up to the park at the top of the road. There is a big pond which is being dredged to remove all the silt( a lot!). Ldog is fascinated with the big digger and stands and looks through the railings. I'd forgotten how large it was really , hopefully it'll soon look like it did when I was young. The council hope it will be better for the wildlife.
My oldest friend rang yesterday morning, she is hoping to come down next week to go out for our lunch. Hopefully we'll still have something left to talk about- it was a long call :)
DH was talking about going to the Italian tonight, it's his birthday next week and we haven't been out since Christmas. It'd give me a rest anyway!
Take care all and have a good weekend if I don't get on.

Morning all
Back from shopping and surprised myself as I'd remembered to get some holiday money as I'd left my list in the car!
I've got a grumpy DH too. As I've said to him many times "you're never happy unless you've got something to moan about"
Rain this afternoon and that wind is still cold.
Have a good day all x
