I am wondering if anyone can help me with the above printer. I printed a bank statement and another form which was on a link on Wednesday without a problem. When I wanted to print a further document paper got stuck in the printer. Today I tried to sort it out. Firstly paper has stuck in the printer on Wednesday but it is on a shelf in a cupboard to I needed to remove it from there to get access to the paper. I removed the paper without a problem. When I then went to print all I was getting was the blue of Barclays bank on the top but the pages were blank. I spent forever a good couple of hours trying to sort it out. Looking at info online. The ink cartridge were replaced fairly recently so that was not the problem, I then cleaned the print heads following the instructions. When I printed off the test paper at the end of the print head test all the colours were there. When I brought up the actual cartridge to check how much ink and then when the cartridge and that printed out with the picture of the ink cartridges. I then cleaned the print head again using the deeper clean. There was a message to say this takes a lot of ink but I did it. I took out the cartridges to inspect them. I tried to print the statement bank account but nothing just blank. Can anyone give me suggest what else I might try. Many thanks Sue

When you select 'print' from your computer, instead of selecting Canon Pixma, try saving to pdf - that should be an option.

Then find the pdf and see if you can print that???

Use the Print Preview on the Canon driver… Is the page also blank? i.e. is the file you try to print using while letters on white paper for instance = no see the writing.

If test page prints it'll be a document file issue.

I tried the pdf there are many pdf on my documents but it just says already saved. I don't know how to delete them. It just keep saying already saved. When I try to open it goes back to you already have this saved do you want to replace. I have got dozens of them and I don't know how to get rid of them.

I did print this document earlier in the week but I made a mistake and wanted to download it again. I havd tried to print off a bank statement which printed, But now it will just print out blank pages.

Many thanks I rely so much on these boards to help me with issues and I value you all so much Sue

unless you’ve chosen to save the documents in a different bit, they are probably all sitting in downloads. So you can go in there and delete all the extra copies that you don’t need.

When you find one that’s already saved as a pdf, do as suggested above and try the print preview and see what that shows you.

Pedant alert - it's could have not could of.

I don't know what I have done but it has printed now. I need as you say to delete all the other documents.

I cleaned the print heads again and I was so confused with everything I was doing on the actual printer. It has worked however and I am so relieved as I needed that document I was trying to print. I had no problem on Tues or Wed printing off statements. What has printed now is not as dark as previously, But I have got it and relieved.

    Thank you so much Sue.
