Facebook, I can't reorder comments
A couple of days ago, I stopped being able to change the order of comments made on any posts.
I was always able to select, from a drop down menu, "most recent*". That option has disappeared.
As far as I know I haven't changed any settings.
It is just me?
*They call it "newest"

I don’t have most recent. It is just showing most relevant (no idea how it decides what that is), newest, and all comments as options.
I don’t think I’ve had most recent for awhile though.

The fb app might need updating on your phone. I still get most relevant, newest snd all comments on iPhone latest update

OP is asking about most recent, not most relevant. Not the same thing.

Sorry, I meant "newest". Couldn't remember the exact word they used, as I can't see it! 😉
Those 3 options no longer appear.
A pain when following a particular discussion, and you can see there have been more comments, as the number grows, but you can't find them.
Will try and update/reset and see if that works.

If you're using a PC, you can get a thing called "FB Purity" which, among many other things, will allow you to automatically have "all comments" when you click on a post.

I use both pc (laptop) and app.
On laptop I just follow my shortcut to the page.
I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling, it hasn't done anything.

How cute, expecting to be able to see things on Facebook in a way you decide. 😀
What you want to see and what Facebook wants you to see are two entirely different things.Anyway with regards to a group the admin of said group can specificy what they want by default, but everybody else the default is always and has been "most relevant", how this is determined is anybody's guess.
Just had a quick shufty, "most recent" seems now on the app (Android) to be for groups and community pages only, and any personal profiles is "most relevant" and "All comments". The "most recent" option still appears on desktop - for now.

I'm not longer getting the options regardless of who made the post.
Media, business, groups, local authority, friends. Those I'm following and those I'm not.
I had the options literally last week. Now gone.
The only thing I've done was block one poster who wanted to get into a political debate (argument) on a local issue.
Surely that wouldn't effect all comments, everywhere on FB.
