Regular soft credit searches on credit profile
I am helping out my brother sort out his finances who has just returned to the UK after living abroad for around two years.
Today when he created account with Credit Karma, there were regular soft searches from MoneySuperMarket (the comparison site) on his profile starting from 2024. There were even 5-6 searches for this month alone.
He hasn't been in this country during this period and he doesn't even have any account with MoneySuperMarket. So why are these searches being done?
Is it something to worry about?
Most importantly how can he get MoneySuperMarket to stop without having account with them.

If you do quotes, say for Home insurance, you normally click I agree to a load of terms without reading them and in there will be a clause saying they'll retain your details and contact you next year. In the background they keep your details and run the soft searches before sending an email saying that your likely premiums will be £X if you are still looking this year.
They're nothing to worry about, no one else sees them/ cares about them. Hard searches are a very different matter.
