GP car park fine - put incorrect registration in parking machine
I attended my GP who own their car park but it is managed by Civil Enforcement. I consistently enter my reg number on arrival. However, in January my husband took my car to garage and I took his to GP. However, by mistake I entered my own registration in the parking machine. I now have a £100 parking fine. My surgery states "they have nothing to do with is". I have also e-mailed them but they have not responded. We have appealed against fine but only to say by my husband "this is my car - yes"; "are you the driver - no". There was no room for entering a reason for the genuine mistake. No doubt the fine will now come to me as the driver. Any advice welcome how to resolve this. Civil Enforcement have no e-mail or telephone number that is answered.

Who have you spoken to at your GP surgery? Have you spoken directly with the Practice Manager?

Contact the surgery manager and demand they get the car park (mis) operator to install a system which displays the registration on the screen as you type and you then choose the correct one.
If you enter the wrong reg you will know as it won't be displayed on the list.3 -
The invoice won't come to you unless your husband names you as the driver.
In some limited circumstances, companies can use the Protection of Freedoms act to transfer liability to the keeper, but that has very strict requirements. Check out the newbies sticky thread to see if your PCN complies with POFA. If not, ensure you don't name the driver!

"No doubt the fine will now come to me as the driver."
As advised above:only if the keeper named you …but why on earth would he do that?! Nobody does that unless you will be better at ignoring the £170 debt collector threatograms than he would be. Have you read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST? (no link given).
It isn't a fine.
You never have to pay.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I’d also be going back to the practice manager at the surgery, pointing out that they have evidence that you were there for an appointment and this is really not the best way to be treating genuine patients.
If they are the land owner, they absolutely can cancel it if they chose to do so,All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2
