Afternoon all, welcome to yet another dull and dreary day. It does feel milder though and this afternoon is supposed to be dry and a bit brighter but not yet.
My shoes arrived yesterday and yes, they do fit. 🙂 They're suede so won't be worn outside until the weather improves but I'll wear them around the house for a wee while each day to get them 'ready'. I have the house to myself today as DS has an in-office day so I can get on with things. Not that he gets in the way and he is house-trained 😃 but it's taking some getting used to having another person around. Like his late dad, he likes to listen to the radio during the day when he's at home but I've got used to not having it on - happily, he likes the Ken Bruce Greatest Hits programme, as do I, so it's not a problem. It does make me feel old though when the presenter announces when songs were released. 😯 I've pulled two tubs of (different) curries out of the freezer for tonight's tea, just need to cook some rice to go with them.
@camelot - Glad to hear the garage is honouring the car warranty and that you have a temporary replacement car. Fingers crossed your heating will soon be sorted out soon.
@Ruby - I'm another night owl so was thankful most of my jobs came with flexible working hours; now retired I can please myself. 😁
@Gers - Enjoy your trip and the play. Safe journey too.
@TA - It certainly was cold yesterday, my heating was on for longer in the evening. I have a Michelin Man coat too, warm and not too heavy, but I can't say it's my favourite garment!
@Izzy - Is your hubby's other name Victor Meldrew v.2 by any chance? I have three wooden spoons but only one gets used, I just can't get on with the other two.
@dp1 - The stewarding job sounds interesting and the trip to Edinburgh will be nice for LO, I expect you'll enjoy it just as much.
@-taff - Custard slices, yummy.
Time to get on with the pottering jobs now so I'll wish everyone a good day and send the usual hugs to anyone needing one. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Thank you for the start @Gers enjoy your time in Glasgow
Torrential rain and freezing wind yesterday and throughout the night, seems calmer now.
I started a cross stitch yesterday, it said to use two threads but it doesn't look right, think it needs more.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.9
