Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
Much milder this morning when I put food out for the birds, yesterday's wind would cut you in two!
Good news from the car garage - they are going to honour the warranty and fix it - they organised a replacement car whilst it's being fixed - a lovely brand new mini cooper. Asked my neighbour to come out in it with me for a little test drive before I have to drive it to work.
Hospital appointment went well but hardly seemed to be worth being at work it was such a short day. Friends over the road don't have any heating or hot water so came over here for a shower, thankfully my hot water was working. May have to phone the heating folk again about the ongoing probem, just don't have any fight left in me at the moment!
Hope you're all ok, take care. XX

Morning all
Cold and damp here it’s been raining most of the night with lots of flooding again locally, I did not manage to get O out yesterday the weather turned really bad with winds and rain all day, today we have to take his mum out to get her car from the garage so weather permitting we will go somewhere afterwards.
Dinner tonight will be some chicken flatbreads with salad nice and quick and easy, dd is off today so she will probably cook, she has her friend and toddler coming today for a visit.
I am really looking forward to no alarm tomorrow, although I like finishing early in the afternoon I do not like getting up so early, I am not a morning person at all.
Camelot glad you got the car mending sorted, hopefully the heating will be next xx
Have good days all and take care xx14 -

Not quite so cold this morning but expecting some rain later on. That'll make a change!
Another nothing planned day here today. Just some housework and some Olympics.
Glad the garage honoured the warranty @camelot1001
Have a good day all x

🎉🎉 to @camelot1001 - well done for the persistence on getting your legal rights. Shouldn't have to fight.
I'm off down to Glasgow later then going to see a Midsomer Murder play in the evening. Bag is already packed. Yesterday I made a pot of tomato and lentil soup ready for the weekend.
Take care all, hope that the rain stops soon. Hugs.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Today we can expect light rain so nothing new there.
I had an enjoyable day out with bus buddy yesterday and we didn't get any of the promised light rain/snow, but by 'eck was it cold . I had my Michelin Man coat on making me look like a prop forward but it kept me warm which was the main thing. It was Skipton again but not much wandering about was done. It was a case of scurry along quickly from shop to shop. Lunch and vino enjoyed and much talking done. Not much spending otherwise, just a few toiletries in readiness for caravan site opening time.
Today's chores include kitchen and bathroom cleaning and dw filter cleaning - my most hated job. Meals yet to be decided, I will have a freezer dive shortly. Then an afternoon of Olympic watching. I can watch and enjoy all of the sports apart from ice hockey which does nothing for me.
CAMELOT well done on winning round one over your car, hope heating success is next. Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all, be safe xx

Good morning
Raining again... I haven't posted for a couple of days, not much to report. Oh, I did go to Screwfix with OH to pick up an order. Other than that, same old, same old.
Today job is to sort out the tins cupboard, so much in there again, and all higgledy piggeldy. Must start using up stuff and stop buying more.
Tonight will be the second half of the steak and kidney pie from last night.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all,dry at the mo.Enjoy the play Gers, sounds good.
Camelot glad you've got a car to use :)
Chrisca and TA, glad the WOlympics are keeping you entertained.
Lunch with the cousins was good but we forgot it was half term so it was busy. Sadly our male cousin seems to get frailer every time we meet.He was on some tablets that took his appetite away but stopped him coughing so he's been taken off them to see if he can get some weight back on hopefully.
DS2 sent us some lovely photos of them on the snow covered slopes in Poland. They are moving today to Kracow before returning on Sat.
We had some pulled pork from the freezer last night. I added some chinese spices and we had it with eggfried rice, seemed to be enjoyed. Not sure about tonight.
Glad I made you chuckle @-taff
Take care all

morning everyone it’s grey damp and miserable but hubby has gone to play golf it’s the first time this year the course has been dry enough I’m pleased to see the back of him he’s had a face like a smacked backside for weeks not that he will come back smiling that’s to much to ask he will be aching all over he’s at his happiest been miserable. I’m going to make some more shepherds pies this morning for the freezer I’ve taken the last one out to defrost for tomorrow night clean the kitchen floor then potter about I’ve spent the last week looking for my wooden spoon I think it’s been thrown out with the rubbish it’s not a problem I can soon get another one but it’s had me baffled. Gers enjoy the theatre they put extra shows on when it was at Newcastle it had rave reviews. Camelot pleased you have a car shocking that you have had such a fight on your hands . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning everyone
I thought I'd posted yesterday and was a bit puzzled as to where it had gone - still sitting waiting for me to press send!
I have some jobs to do this morning, then I have a meeting about being a steward at a new Lowry exhibition in town. Then I will meet DD and little one at the station, to catch a train to Edinburgh with little one. We are going to stay at the Holiday Inn right next to the zoo, tonight we are going to see the Giant Lanterns at the zoo, they look great. Tomorrow we'll go see the animals at the zoo, one of Little one's favourite places. It should be a lovely little trip, though I am feeling a bit apprehensive as when she stayed here on Monday night, her sugars went so low she should have been unconscious. DD spoke to one of the doctors at the RVI and her dosage of overnight feed has been increased, which hopefully will stop it happening again. I was ok at the time and didn't panic, it was later that it hit me.
Camelot - good news on your car
Gers - enjoy your trip
Everyone else have a good day, sorry I've forgotten what you all said over the last couple of days!
I bought dad a new 'speaking clock', the old one told him just the time when he pressed the top of it - this one tells him the time, date and most importantly the day. This is as much for my mams' benefit as his, she thinks every day is Wednesday and argues that she's right, winding dad up who , quite rightly, argues back that it can't be Wednesday again! We were back at the doctors for more blood tests on Monday and have an appointment with the doctor on Monday, so will hopefully get some answers.
Right I really must do my ironing, then finish getting my bag sorted x

Morning! Looks like it's raining again today..I made pasties yesterday, used the recipe from the Cornish Pasty Association online, came out lovely, but I would say, I'll make twelve , not six next time, they're humungous! One for supper though, was very nice :) I've made them a couple of times before and forget how big they are. And making them reminds me of Nels, who I will be forever grateful to for encouraging me to make my own flatbreads, at which I am very proficient now 😉 Builder is hopefully coming round tomorrow to get the paperwork done so we can get our building control approval, it's been a while but hopefully everything is in place now. I might make a cake but I don't know what his favourite is. Maybe I'll just make custard slices, blokes seem to love custard for some reason.
camelot, well done you and the garage for getting there in the end..someone told me once that when you're having difficult phone calls, stand up to do it, you feel more assertive that way…good luck with the boiler..Izzy, cna you slip him something in his tea to cheer him up? or a sedative to cheer you up 🤣 Ruby, with you on the getting up, I can do it, but I don't like it…have a nice time if you go somewhere after..dp1, I got one of those clocks for my exs mother. It was so useful, it didn't really help her stay grounded but it did answer her at any time of the day or night…Coxy, well done for sorting out Halfords in the end. When someone does that to me, I just pretend I still don't know what they're talking about just to see how much longer they'll go on, or ask them increasingly ridiculous questions [ think Cunk, if you've seen any of her stuff] ..Take care all, stay dry….
