Back to heavy rain again today and for the foreseeable, yesterday was glorious we had a good long walk and although it was cold it was nice to be out and see the sun.
I am off to see O today and I will try to get him out if possible but just getting him in and out of the van takes ages and if it’s heavy rain we will both get soaked so we will have to see.
Dinner tonight will be a quick pizza and salad and the shopping is being delivered this afternoon. Little dog has to go back to the vet this morning for her post op check, dd will take her, I am sure all will be well as she seems fine.
Taff I have not heard of Sable what do they do ? Xx
Have good days all and take care xx15 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @RedRuby1231 hope you manage to get out with O
Haven't looked outside yet but I can hear the wind and the house feels chilly. Just turned the heating on and I'm back in bed with a cup of tea
I was going out today, nothing important needed so I might give it a miss. Not the weather for standing waiting for buses, there's no shelter.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.14 -
Morning all. Thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons - hope that the rain holds off for you and O.
My yesterday was much less productive, I didn't go out as planned. I changed to plan b to do everything today when my cleaner was here, then he phoned to cancel as he was ill. I did a bit more chucking out but also managed to order a couple of new to me sustainable cleaning products. A little bit of madness.
Later on I decided to phone a very elderly friend of my late DM as she hadn't replied to my email telling her of Lionel's death who she knew well. Inevitably, her husband told me that she had died. 😰 I was really floored, think she was the last of those people around in my childhood, it feels as if my younger life has been erased. Sad day. Happy memories.
Today is for collecting the travel money, handing in the clean bedding for ironing and returning an order. Have a good day everyone.

Morning folks and thanks RUBY. I hope you manage to get O out though it's not much fun in the wind and rain is it.. No rain here but there is a chance of light snow and fine mizzle later. And it feels cold!
Bus trip day today and I think we will be back to Skipton again. Sadly our favourite hostellerie is still closed for renovation so we will have to find somewhere else for our lunch and bottle! We'll poke our noses in a few charity shops first but decent bargains are few and far between these days. I dropped lucky in Ilkley last trip out but it's a rare event these days round these parts. But I am doing well at coming out minus books as I have a real backlog to get through here first.
I have a few chores to do here before we meet at our bus stop down to town and fingers crossed the snow or drizzle holds off as, like SO, our bus stop up here is exposed to the elements with no shelter. But we do have a lovely view across the valley to Ilkley moor!
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) as always for all in need. Take care all, be safe x

Morning All
After a lovely sunny (but cold) day yesterday it's overcast this morning but not raining so that's a bonus. I stripped the spare beds yesterday and got the bedding dried outside so that's a job done. Started to clean the children's bedroom but the little one found the lego so we spent a few hours putting that together - my back is aching this morning!
Sorry to hear of your friend's passing Gers, glad you have happy memories.
Enjoy your bus trip TA.
Hope you manage to get out Ruby.
Your surgery sounds like mine Nanny!
I have a hospital appointment this morning so will go into work after. It's an in-service day so no hurry, I will have to get 2 buses so it may be a very short day!
Take care. XX

morning everyone it was nice and bright yesterday but really cold I hung a line of towels out when I went to bring them in they were like boards we are in from another cold one today I’m off to a cleaning job soon then I have a prescription to pick up and I need to call in the doctors to make an appointment for my thyroid blood test I walk past on the way home then I will be staying in to keep warm although if it brightens up I might go for a dog walk I was frozen to the bone when I was out with her yesterday. Meatballs for tonight I think I can see a little gap in the freezer.Ruby I hope you manage to get out and stay dry SO I’m jealous of you going back to bed get tucked in and keep warm Gers how sad about your DMs friend I sometimes think we think time stands still or we forget how old we are if I hear about someone dying I think well how can they of they weren’t that old just a bit older than me but I forget how old I am I remember going to see my dad who used to tell me about people dying he knew and I used to be shocked then I remember he was a hundred when he died how old did I think his friends were . TA you will have to come here and visit the charity shops we have good prices and usually a sale on at the minute we have 3 items of children’s clothing for a pound last month we had all adult clothes for a pound and next month I think it’s toys . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Brrrrrr it's cold this morning. Can't see any frost outside though
Clean bill of health at the dentist. I wandered round Rochester Cathedral to kill time yesterday and they had sculptures of whales hanging down and lots of children were there for storytime of Jonah and the Whale.
A bit of housework today and nothing else planned.
Izzy I'm with you re 'old' people dying and then you remember how old you are! Feels weird but everyone must go through that at some point in their life!
Have a good day all x

Morning all
Seems like there’s mixed weather around - we have a low chance of snow although a yellow warning in place.
Gers - sorry to hear about your DMs friend, sad news after your recent loss too.
Sorry to hear of surgery woes too - it reminds me we are extremely lucky to have an amazing one here.
Off to N Wales for a couple of nights to coincide with meeting very good friends tomorrow.
Take care allAA

Morning all, thanks for the start RR, hope you get out.
Gers sorry to hear you had more sad news.
Camelot, nicer to play with DGDs Lego than clean bedrooms 😉
SO the wind is very chilly, I'd stay in if I were you.
However I'm off to meet my cousins, not seen them since before Christmas.
TA, I think charity shops are suffering a bit from people selling on vinted etc.
Enjoy Wales AA, & glad the dentist visit was ok Chrisca.
DH and I had a nice walk through the park with L dog- stopped at the cafe for a hot choc.It was very busy being half term so we were on the outside tables, lots of people admiring him ( dog not DH 😃)
Right better go and wash my hair etc. Have a good day all.
