Resale ticket funds not received
hello
Hoping I can get some advice here regarding tickets I sold to an event last year.
I bought and sold these tickets through AXS there policy states that funds are ready for release 7-10 days post event this would have been 27th Nov 25 at the latest.
I did not see the funds ready for payout in the app as it says instead it turns out that the funds were sent via Hyperwallet to the account I used to purchase the tickets. The account had been closed and I was told that the payment would bounce back to Hyperwallet.
AXS are awful to deal with and I am back and forth via email over £200+ of missing funds.
I have provided my old bank with the FRiD reference number and screen shots of the payment reference provided from Hyperwallet via AXS. They have emailed to say that they are unable to trace it.
I’m at a total loss on how else I can now get my money back for tickets I sold legitimately.
Is anyone able to provide any guidance on this please?
Thanks
d

I don't see a way around this, unfortunately. It sounds like a convoluted mess of sale, resale, virtual wallet and a closed bank account. AXS, like other touts, is based overseas, so legal routes appear limited as well.
I fear you may have to write it off.

AXS is a seller in the UK and sells for a lot of high profile events as the first preference over Ticketmaster.
I’m not prepared to walk away from £200+ in a tech world where no one can take responsibility. So frustrating as a customer.

Axs are a member of STAR, who offer dispute resolution. You'll need confirmation of deadlock with AXS and can then complain to them

Not sure where your info came from, but AXS are UK registered and have offices in London and Birmingham. They are part of AEG group and run ticketing for a lot of major venues.

My apologies, you're right. I recall previous threads about Viagogo being in Switzerland and I wrongly recalled AXS being US-based.

I think they may be headquartered in the US, but they seem to have offices everywhere!

It sounds like AXS have done their bit and forwarded on the funds using the details held on file.
Was there no way you could update the bank account details when the account was closed?

Surely the fact the bank account it was refunded to was closed is irrelevant?
It simply goes into a suspense or control account at the OP's bank until it can be correctly allocated.
Has the OP asked their bank what they (the bank) has done with the funds?
Why do people use non-straightforward and confusing ways (like hyperwallet - !!!!!! that is) to pay for things?
Keep it simple…

I think it's the only method AXS uses to move money around. "Hyper" is a bit of a silly prefix, given it can take up to 10 days for the money to be transferred!

thanks for all the comments - much appreciated.
I did update my details with AXS once I realised. My bank said they the money will have bounced back so I had hoped it would sit waiting for payout!
I’ll look into STAR and go from there!
Hyperwallet is attached to PayPal - such a pain!0
