why are my search results like this??

first time turned computer on in a week and search results look like this below. can someone help please.:confused:
Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday, news, sport, showbiz, health, femail .....

Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday...

    If you're getting unusual search results etc (but as pointed out you haven't made your post very clear) then that's a symptom of having your browser hijacked. I'd advise going through the malware removal guide. It may be useful for you to say what security you use.

  • sorry i was unclear but im an aol and the display results show in a list format such as above and not in its usual format. its the only way i can describe it. it doesnt seem to matter what im searching. and im using mcafee security which has been installed sometime now and ive never had this problem before.

    Well my first thought then in terms of major problems is "using AOL software". I'd always recommend avoiding any ISP's own software and especially AOL. Just because you use them to connect it doesn't mean you have to use their software which from what I gather is carp and more hassle than it's worth. My second thought (although not as severe and more as a sidenote) is "using McAfee security". In my experience it's rubbish as doing what it was meant for and also causes too many problems with conflicts with other apps and use of resources to be practical.

    AOL are having technical problems at the moment search results should be back to normal shortly.
