Group Nexus PCN - Hospital car park

Hi all,

Advice appreciated please.

Received the following PCN after parking in the visitor car park at my place of work (Hospital). When trying to pay, entered my reg number and a screen message appeared 'Fee is paid - you can now leave' - there was no option to pay nor any fee displayed (repeated to check, and same again). From a google search it seems there were multiple problems with the pay machines over this time period.

Tried to get Hospital to cancel it, but as an NHS worker of course there is no support and have been told where to go. Hospital says I have received the PCN because I have a staff permit (this is completely false as many staff park and pay in the visitor car park without problem - and the PCN/parking conditions make no mention of this).

Before I start my appeal to the Nexus cowboys, is my PCN POFA compliant? I am going to base my appeal on I am the keeper and can't identify the driver, and that the payment machine said fee is paid. Anything I can add?

We had a newspaper article about this which might have been the same hospital.

Yes that is a POFA NTK so I wouldn't use a template appeal, just appeal as driver stating what the machine displayed, using the photo from the newspaper article if it is the same hospital.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
