    See here:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/end_early.html

    and/or help says

"If the item becomes unavailable during the last 12 hours of the auction (for example, you break it) you must contact the high bidder or buyer and explain what happened.

You can get a Final Value Fee Credit if you and the buyer confirm you mutually agreed to withdraw from the purchase."

I thought you could still cancel bids and then end it?

Not within the last 12 hours of the auction for most categories.

so will i have to let the auction finish? isnt this risky and couldnt it lead to negative feedback?

is there no other way to end it now? are there any other options?

Prob not the bet of ideas but get a friend to bid on it for some silly amount so no one actually buys it.

Then technically you could do a mutual agreement to not go ahead with the purchase and get ur fees back.

Once there is a winning bidder on any finished aucton there is the problem of feedback, so if you really don't have the option anywhere of pulling the auction then yes you could face a neg, you will also have to pay FVFs on the auction as well.

Defintely not the best of ideas. Shill bidding is not only against ebay rules if annoys a lot of buyers as well so will lose you business in the long run and may even be enough to get both accounts suspended. You will also end up with even higher FVFs.

Can you not add to the description within the last 12hrs?
If so you could write a message in a very large font to warn any other bidders
Just a thought....and it was to late anyway.......Oh well
