Civil enforcement parking fine
hi, looking for some advice on how to proceed. Without going into the full detail and because I made the error of replying to an email rather than clicking the link on an attached letter I missed my appeal deadline for my parking fine. I logged on to pay the £140 demanded in the final notice a the amount on the site was £170. There was no further option to appeal and as I was going away for 2 weeks and didn’t want to come home to a ccj or bailiffs I paid the £170. I sent a letter with all supporting documentation to the registered address where it was received and signed for. My request was that I received the extra £30 I had paid to be refunded to me. Of course I have heard nothing, it’s now been 21 days since I sent the letter. Any advice on what I can do for my next steps would be appreciated. Thanks

Sorry, but you've been scammed and will never get that money back.
I have no idea why anyone ever pays private parking charges and certainly not at £170! Only about 5% of duped victims actually pay that (it is double recovery and unenforceable). Sadly you have funded the scam now.
Next time ask here first.
You would never have paid a penny.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
