Spent £30.03 today (just on food, not including cleaning/toiletries) and will spend £4.35 tomorrow in Waitrose on milk cream and butter, all of which I have 50p off vouchers for. So well within the £50 budget for the week. It helps that we are having roast chicken this Sunday which is a lot cheaper than other joints. Next week won't be so cheap
Running total £84.60 Balance £115.40
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!7 -
@goldfinches those cookies look lovely. I have all ingredients in stock, cold is now going thank goodness so may have the energy to make these tomorrow.
Thank you

So far 84.70 spent this month over 3 shops, 2 done instore and one online.
Made a big mistake - Our internet has been playing up seriously over the last couple of weeks. I did an online order - then cancelled it, - or so I thought. Still needing a few items that in total wouldn't have reached the minimum spend for an online order, I drove to the supermarket and spent £16.11. Later that night the original order arrived!!!! I now have enough chicken thighs and bread to last to the end of the month and well beyond. Open Reach have started to dig up the road, 3way traffic lights have appeared and when I rang the internet provider they said 26th-28th of this month before work completed. The only time the internet seems to work is after midnight - maybe we rely on it too much now.

Weekly update from me.
One big shop and two top ups.
Big shop only came to £45.08 this week, I am definitely noticing that a pescatarian diet is coming in cheaper than buying lots of meat. Will be meat free until the end of the month and then will introduce it back in, but will be assessing my meals and keeping it a lot more veggie based - not every new recipe I've tried has worked well, last night's took ages to cook and was very bland in the end. Oh well, I made a very nice bang bang cauliflower last week so will take that win.

DH went into town to collect watch that had new battery put in. Popped into Sainsburys whilst he was there and bought sugar, bread, wraps and paracetamol £8.75 spent . Because my head still isn't in the right place I forgot to tell him to get flora pro active which is on a nectar offer for us and also mushrooms. Annoying as there are road works all the way into Newport. Might have to get in Cowes next time I am down town. Frozen shoulder permitting.

£116.33 spent so far this month. I'm out of bread again - what with toast for breakfast and lunch sandwiches and liking the thick sliced stuff it doesn't go far. Thanks to whoever mentioned red label loose tea was back. There were only 3 on the shelf when I went in so I bought 2 packs and am giving one to my aunt who drinks a lot more tea than me (I love a cup of tea, but I also love coffee, where she is a tea drinker through and through) and left the last for someone else.
