Good morning
It was brilliant sunshine when I got up, but is now starting to cloud over. Showers are forecast today.
Today's job is to phone and change an appointment as it clashes with another one I have. Hopefully they can fit me in at a better time. Other than that only the usual chores. Liver and onions for me tonight, haven't had it in ages so really looking forward to it. Needless to say DH won't be having that, so found a piece of steak in the freezer for him.
YL, sorry to read that your son has relationship problems, hope it gets sorted out satisfactory.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all from a sunny but cold and windy Mehefinland
Vicious overnight showers with hail. They were so loud on the roof they woke me up several times so a bit like a wet rag atm.
I remember when DS was 'dumped' the day after his final exam whilst in uni. At least she had the decency to let him finish his exams, but even now I remember the trauma - he just jumped on a train in what he was wearing and came home. Even now, after all those years i get a lump thinking about it. His then GF went on to do brilliantly in her chosen field until tragically she had a major stroke at age 24 and is now wheelchair bound and a shadow of her former self. You never know….
My land is doing a fair impression of a rice paddy field in places, yet other bits are relatively firm and dry in comparison - it's very odd. Fortunately it drains reasonably well so it's a short term problem. The horses always seem to find the muddiest patch to roll in though!
My Cosmos seedlings are poking through the compost, and some sunflowers too. Typically the things I am waiting for are still fast asleep lol.
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek

Morning everyone
Raining here. I have some jobs to do this morning and then my mam to take to two appointments at our doctor's surgery, to see someone about her ears and for repeats of some of the blood tests she had which came back borderline..I don't know what for. We'll then go for lunch and some shopping.
Yorks lass I'm sorry to hear about your son, hopefully they can sort things out.
Gers I can't imagine a bigger contrast between where you live now and Birmingham!
Camelot little one tries that with me too, especially with Netflix where some childrens' programmes are awful.
Right I'm going to get on, I'm still sorting paperwork and want to finish it before the blue bin gets emptied tomorrow. I hope everyone has a good day x

Hello all, the sun is shining but with a chance of showers, the same as yesterday although at tea time the skies went black and the heavens opened biblical style.
Today I have more van stuff to sort though, the bins to put out for rubbish collection tomorrow and my dosette box to fill, such a busy day ahead 😂.
I found some beef slices in gravy in the freezer so that'll do for tea with a jacket potato.
Yorkslass sorry to see that your DS had to come home, hopefully their problems can be resolved soon.
Good luck to those with appointments today. Hugs to all and get well soon wishes to the poorly ones.
nan xx

II hope it's OK.. to ask here - wondering if..London_1 is still posting? She moved to The Isle of Wight but I haven't seen any MSE/Old Style posts from her recently and she was a very regular poster.

Good evening
Popping in again.
Sunshine here this morning then rain showers this afternoon. Almost managed a dry dog walk but was 5 mins away from home when the rain Started.
Batched cooked today, made a chilli and home made soup. Hopefully they will last a few days. Need to get the chilli portioned and in the freezer before DS2 sees it.
I’ve had a day off today, back to work tomorrow in my new role which is very full on but no nights. I also went to the Drs today as still got a lingering cough, another chest infection so more antibiotics.
Hope you’ve all had a good day.
