Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
Its not a bad morning here, not raining anyway.
Yesterday was ok, very cold though. We weren't out, just pottered.
I'm visiting one of my house bound friends this morning, as I usually do on a Monday, and I have to go to the Post Office, there's a birthday card to send to Australia.
Sorry to hear about your Ds YorksLass. My dd came back to live with us once after a long term relationship had broken up, she was in a terrible state.( this was years ago)
Hope everyone has a good day, Take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. It's not raining yet but I expect it soon will be. I hope this isn't a sign of the weather we can expect in summer.
No plans for the day ahead. Some pottering, some Olympic watching will be the extent of my excitement! One or two things I recorded last night (Call the Midwife and Pottery throw down) will be watched in among.
YL I hope you managed a good sleep rather than worrying about things you can't change. It's so sad when a relationship ends.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. ROSY I hope your DS and family got to Poland ok yesterday. The M62 is notoriously bad when it snows and Leeds/Bradford airport was notoriously chaotic on a Sunday in our flying days! Take care all, be safe x

Morning all
Nothing much planned today but will pop to the shops as I forgot to get some sunscreen for our holiday in a couple of weeks and forgot when I was out over the weekend.
Have a niggly tooth so will ring for dentist appointment today. Don't want it getting worse when we are away.
Apart from that it's Olympics this afternoon.
Have a good day all x

It’s dry and sunny again though not for long. Yesterday was dark and wet again with some added thunder for variation!
I spent most of the day cleaning and tidying other than a couple of hours of trying to persuade my laptop to behave - no idea why it’s suddenly gone slow …..that’ll be to further investigate today.
No other plans other than a trip to the post office to drop off some parcels.
Take care all

Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Woke at 4 this morning, felt really cold so I got a hot water bottle and a cup of tea and went back to bed. Didn't manage any more sleep but I was warm and cosy.
Nothing much planned for today. Too cold for the garden
Take care

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers x
I’m taking our car for its MOT today and will meet DSis in town for a coffee. I’ve also got my eye on some reduced items in Iceland via Olio - will see if they are still available.
Other than that it’ll be some washing and ironing plus the en-suite and cloakroom to clean today. DD and DS2 take it in turns to do the main bathroom that they use. Dinner is the mushroom risotto meant for last night - DS2 offered to cook so he did a pasta dish instead.
Hope everyone has a good day. A lot of catching up with pals and staying warm on the cards. Hope you have a restful day @silver-oldie and that @YorksLass and her DS are doing okay xCoxy

Back - I'm sorting out the bedroom drawers piecemeal as I get rather bored by it but I will persevere with it. They are going to be 'unsticked' at some point and I may not be in when the chap comes so need them to be clear. Today was the tights and bra one, knickers already done and the misc fem one also. Just the four big ones to go.
Yesterday was mostly watching the games though I have had enough of the blooming curling, it's like cricket and I can't bear the screeching. Thoroughly enjoyed the start of the bob, the gold medals (of course) and most of the other stuff. In the evening I recorded Pottery to watch the ice dancing.
My favourite cousin has ticked me off a bit. After him emailing to ask how I was I told him so he then writes a long reply saying I should move to be closer to my nephew (in Birmingham) and that my reluctance to drive so far is a sign that I need someone to look after me - do I not want a companion??? 😡 I was more gentle in my written reply than my thoughts. There's a reason I live alone and live here, it's because it's what I want. I'm nowhere near infirm or losing marbles. It sadden me that he knows me so little. 😔 Mind you, I'm also fighting off the Aussie lot telling me to move over there. That's not ever going to happen. 😅
Today is wet, sky is brightening up so maybe it'll come good. I've got spreadsheets to do and one final AB to take.
@YorksLass - how awful for your poor DS, it's always heartbreaking when a relationship breaks up - I can remember them well.
I hope that everyone can keep dry and warm, the snowdrops give me hope for a better spring. Hugs to all.

Morning All
Cold this morning but not raining, in fact I think the sun may peek over the hills shortly. May put the washing out for a while. Yesterday was really miserable with heavy rain around lunchtime.
The inside bins have been emptied, washing done and I'm showered and dressed ready for the heating engineer - just had a text to say it will be between 11.15 and 2.15, I really hate waiting about but will find something to do.
The little one came to stay on Saturday, we had a good time at the swimming pool and the buses were kind to us - she thinks it's a great adventure! Yesterday we made pancakes, did some painting and colouring and she watched something on the TV that I found out later from her Mum she's not allowed to watch!
I'm hoping to hear some news about my car today but shan't hold my breath.
Sorry to hear your DS has relationship issues YL, such a shame. He's very lucky to have such a supportive Mum.
I've the dentist later, I booked the appointment thinking I would be at work so I could go on my way home, will get the bus there and back unless my friend is back from her weekend away then she can take me!
Have a good day, hugs to those in need. Take care. XX

The sun is actually shining 😃 but more rain due this afternoon and it’s quite cold.
I am off to mums today to work I shall continue with the sorting of the sewing room, she has boxes and boxes of material so we need to go through and sort it and all the ribbons buttons etc, she won’t donate any but they will be better sorted into categories.Dinner tonight will be salmon fried rice, nice and quick and easy, I thought we had meatballs in the freezer for tomorrow but I think I forgot to order them so will have to be inventive for dinner tomorrow, I don’t like to have a huge stock of food in the freezer I only get enough for the week and occasionally a bargain joint of meat so I may have to use up the odd bits and have a mix and match dinner.
Yorks lass I’m sorry to hear about your ds and his partner, hopefully they can work something out xx
Have good days all and take care xx8
