Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. After a day of promised sun yesterday I got up to a good covering of snow this morning. The forecast is for light rain (no surprises there!) so hopefully it will help clear the snow. You haven't to be surprised with what the weather throws at you these days.
First job will be to change the bedding and, as usual, once washed it will festoon the upstairs. This miserable weather goes on and on. But it was lovely to venture out shopping in sunshine yesterday, though still bitter cold.
I got the last of my pre Christmas meats out to defrost for today. I have hopefully saved the best till last. It's a piece of Wagyu beef topside which I picked up at a bargain price. I rarely buy beef these days so it will make a nice change. There should be more than enough for a couple of meals with plenty sliced and frozen in gravy for future meals.
More Olympic watching will be on the agenda but apparently there is bad weather forecast for the region so the schedule for outdoor sports may have to change.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, be safe x

Morning again, the weather is back to normal, after a nice sunny day yesterday, it's damp and miserable again today.
I haven't got anything to report really, today will just be the same old same old. It's getting light earlier though, and I heard a blackbird singing earlier,so there is hope!
Thoughts to our sad and poorly people, hope everyone has a good day.
Take care folks.

Another one that enjoyed yesterday’s sunshine but now it’s torrential rain again.
Nothing interesting to report, I think today will be trying to catch up on chores, all I managed yesterday was vacuuming the stairs, cleaning the fridge and swapping the freezer contents.
There will be some Olympic viewing here too - no idea what’s on but I can pretty much watch any of the events.
Enjoy your Sunday

Morning. A lazy start here, still feeling rough, it's given me the final push into making a medical decision which I'll act on tomorrow. Saturday was mostly spent watching others doing daft and dangerous sports in the cold. I was intrigued by the mogul event and could only think about how bad the competitors knees will be in 20 years time. And why anyone would want to fling themselves down a huge windy track lying on their front is beyond me. Saying that, I thoroughly enjoyed it all, especially the speed skating. I had a wee interval to really enjoy the rugby. 🏉🎉
I didn't go shopping yesterday and won't be going today either. Nothing is urgent. Instead I ordered a pair of trousers from Marks so will save going until they've arrived, think it's Wednesday. There's still soup, chicken and veggies to eat along with ill-thought out salad bits.
The rains arrived late yesterday evening, sounded like icy rain too. Today is grey and wet, could be one for lighting the stove. Keep safe and dry out there. Hugs to all.

Morning everyone
Sorry I haven't posted since Wednesday, I had shopping to do before work on Thursday and then little one came up with me after work. She is feeling a bit better, but the antibiotics she's on for her tubey hole are strong, and are making her feel sick. She was delighted to be here as she'd missed making her mummy a Valentines card at school, she made one covered with sparkly hearts and gems and then had the idea of putting it in a big brown envelope to disguise it. The next idea was to write 'boring bill in a brown envelope' on the front….which she thought was both very clever and hilarious! DD played along when she got in the car announcing that this bill had been delivered to grannys' house by mistake.
We had a lovely day on Friday and then she ended up staying on Friday night too as DD had a migraine, she went home about 10 yesterday morning, I went phew and had a very lazy day, she hadn't stopped talking since she arrived. Her alarm went off a couple of times during both nights so I was tired last night.
I'm going down to mam and dads shortly and then am planning a quiet afternoon with my Sunday Times. I need to pop over to my friends house at lunchtime to let her little dog out for a pee, she has her daughter and grand children staying and they've gone to Edinburgh Zoo for the day.
I did read back, but it's all mixed up now! I'll just wish everyone a good day x
Oh and we have our second day of sunshine!

GERS It might surprise you to learn but Bob and I used to go to Switzerland every January purely for the sledging! But we didn't fling ourselves down the icy sliders runs! We flung ourselves down the designated sledging runs down the mountains, after getting to the top by mountain railway, gondola or cable car depending on the mountain. We absolutely loved it but when I hit 60 I decided I had pushed my luck long enough and we did our last run just before I retired. I keep reminding myself that I wasn't always the doddery old fa*t I am now!

I bet you enjoyed the rugby @Gers 😉
