    hope I'm not too late to be of help but our engineered wood floor had white patches from water spillage while watering plants over winter. I used walnuts to rub on the area and the results were miraculous! I'm assuming it's the oils coming out of the nuts and the white areas have completely disappeared. Your area looks larger than mine but definitely worth trying before spending any money.
