Caulk or wood filler.?
Been rubbing down all my doors & frames ready to paint. Lots of cracks and gaps to fill (new build 4 years ago). What's best to use... caulk or wood filler? .To be honest I've used both in the past which both cracked over time. Any recommendations? Perhaps one brand which is good and won't leave me with new cracks 12 months from now? Thanks

Decorators caulk shrinks and is rubberish, difficult to sand. IMO wood filler is better, but there is a big variaty of them. I think two-part ones are better.

Caulk for any gaps between frame and wall.
For the woodwork, wood filler. Two part fillers are better as @grumpy_codger says, but if you’d don’t like those for interior woodwork something like Everbuild wood filler will work fine.
