Access to Work: Uber

Hi. I hope someone can answer this for me.

I've just been granted an Access to Work grant for taxi travel to work. This is great news, however I'm not quite sure if Uber receipts will be accepted. The lady I spoke to said the cab must be registered with the local authority. As far as I can see, Uber is fine on this point, but I need to be certain before I spend money I can't afford!

If anyone has experience that says Uber receipts are fine to claim back with, I'll be glad to hear it. Thanks.

Uber drivers are registered with a local authority, but not necessarily your local authority.

All taxis have to be licensed by a local authority.

I googled it and found 3 sources saying you can use Uber for Access to Work.

I too can Google, and I've not seen a definitive answer that isn't AI. As stated in my post, I'd like to hear from those with experience. Thanks though.

The MS Society webpage, a Reddit User and a website called Independent Living, none of which appear to be AI, all say you can use Uber. I'm not saying to take my word for it but I was trying to be helpful.
