VCS PCN’s

I’ve received two PCN’s from the above company. I visited a travel show which was being hosted by Holiday Inn, Southend Airport. Free parking was advertised. When I arrived there was nothing to say how to park for free, so I pulled over for 5 mins to try and check things out. Another couple went in to ask. I then parked and went into the show. I appealed the fines but, of course, my appeals were dismissed. Holiday Inn say the land is not owned by them, but by Southend AirPort. They write that I ignored the non stopping sings which were “highly visible”…i didn’t see them and I can’t decide whether to pay the discounted rate of £60 per PCN but why two of them?

You pulled over on double red lines? Or not?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I didn’t notice them, if they were there then they certainly weren’t obvious. I admit I stopped but I don’t understand why I’ve got two tickets for stopping for 5 mins. I didn’t cause an obstruction. But according to Excel there are “highly visible “ signs up saying it’s a no stopping zone. I will just pay it and move on but it’s made me not want to drive anywhere now, unless I know what the parking situation is, before I go.

Sorry, no I hadn’t read that. On consideration I have decided to make another appeal, that will probably be rejected, as I don’t see why I should pay two fines. One ticket was for pulling over, before I entered the car park…I was reading the parking instructions. The other ticket was issued but I have no idea why, the photo shows me driving around the car park, As you pointed out, I didn’t pull over onto the red lines. So I will lodge another appeal and take what comes. I live on my own and iI’ve just come through an eight year legal battle, with my brother, over my Mum’s will. He was granted permission to sue me, in the High Courts, even though he has been labelled a “vexatious litigant” it was an extremely stressful and expensive experience, and although I was awarded costs I will never see them. This is by way of an explanation, as to why I am reluctant to become embroiled in anything of a legal nature. Thank you for your responses.

    You don't have any fines.

There is no appeal worth trying.

We recommend you ignore Excel but my point was, surely the signs are in the name VCS?

Show us both sides of both PCNs. Redact QR Codes, PCN ref, your data and your VRM but leave all dates showing and we need BOTH sides please.
