Bought online greenhouse - not as described but started to erect
Hi, I was given a greenhouse as a present by my wife and started to erect it yesterday. My wife had ordered what was described as “grey” and the website showed a very very dark grey greenhouse. My wife was very keen on this colour to match our garden fence and gravel.. I put the greenhouse up yesterday and after work she came to see progress and was very disappointed as it’s actually a mid grey. (I wasn’t aware that she wanted a really dark grey). We spoke to the company and they’ve said as it’s been erected/ taken out if the box, they can’t do anything despite the images not being at all representative of the colour on their website. Is there anything that can done? Example of the greenhouse we were sent vs the website below. Any comments would be appreciated..,

Are you 100% certain that your wife ordered that model and colour?
What does the order paperwork and if there any stickers or writing on the box that the greenhouse came match the order paperwork?
Is the whole greenhouse the same colour or just the base?
I would just keep it as the time and hassle of dismantling and re packaging would not be worth it for me.

She definitely ordered the colour as described on the website and it’s labelled in the box plus we’ve spoken to them and they say they don’t do a very dark grey despite being very clearly advertised in their website! We’d keep it but there were other cheaper green houses that were a mid grey so essentially she paid quite a lot more to get the very dark grey. If we wanted the mid grey she could have got it a lot cheaper elsewhere

You're going to struggle to get anywhere arguing about 50 shades of grey. Lighting, monitors, cameras etc all introduce their own differences and the pictures don't look all that different to me. If thr colour was so important it may have been preferable to view one first.
Have you considered painting it?

Is it literally described as 'very dark grey' on the website, or is it just called 'grey'? I agree with the above - I don't think the published image you shared conclusively evidences a "very very dark grey" product, and the bottom right section in the main picture looks similar to your photo of the product as delivered.

It’s labelled as grey on the website. The bottom right image you refer to is part of a number of photos that belong to that range. Since it wasn’t selected it has a white filter over it. I’ve removed it as it’s confusing the issue..thanks for highlighting it

I was referring to "the bottom right section in the main picture", not one of the small images at the bottom.

In hindsight yes, but a) there is no showroom and b) I feel should be a reasonable representation/ likeness of colour regardless of which laptop or minuted is being used. Royal blue is very different to navy blue

The website picture shows a very dark grey / charcoal frame with a black plastic corner unit. At distance they look very similar in colour. My image shows a mid grey frame and a black plastic corner on gravel.

Just to illustrate the way that different lighting conditions, monitor calibrations, etc, can influence perceptions, this is a snip of the lighter section in your photo:
and here's the same from the website image:

I would suggest though that they do have an argument that if it was the wrong colour that should have been checked and noted before you started putting it together.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.3
