Moving home with two properties to sell
We are planning to move home this year and have two properties, our primary residence and a separate terraced cottage, formerly rented but now empty. I realise capital gains tax will apply to the terraced cottage but are there any other tax implications I should be aware of.

Additional stamp duty rate if the sales don't go through together.

Only if the sale of the primary residence doesn't go through until after the purchase.

Even if that’s not the case the extra 5% can be reclaimed if the main home sells within 3 years.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
