Good morning, it's a wet start here as usual. Yesterday was a terrible day, with constant rain.
I'm starting early because I've been awake half the night, thought I might as well get up and make a hot drink.
I wasn't out at all yesterday, but dh went to Morries for eggs and milk. The freezer is still full, so we're trying to live out of that as much as we can.
Not much on today except that I want to go to a branch of The Wo*ks that's a short bus ride away, I need some gold card for a birthday card that I'm making. It's very near a large Sains, I might find myself in there, though I really shouldnt.
Thoughts to our poorly people and those who are sad or lonely.
Take care folks, stay dry if you can.

Morning SCARLET and all to follow. We didn't get any rain yesterday until nigh on tea time. Instead it was just another grey and miserable day. Today we are forecast a day of sleet and colder. But we have sun to look forward to tomorrow, or so they tell us. Maybe they are just saying that to lift our spirits a bit.
Another day of excitement with the Friday Tidy on the agenda, followed by Olympic watching again. Yesterday's washing, mainly of towels, is festooning the upstairs but should be dry by now I think.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) as always for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care x

Morning Scarlet and all to follow
I am up early on my day off as little dog is going in for her teeth extraction and clean this morning she has to be there for 8.45 and needs a short walk beforehand, I am quite anxious about it but all being well she should be home later on 🤞I will get her some chicken to poach to tempt her to eat, I have some fish which I will cook too.
After I have dropped her off I am going to see Matthew and his mum for a coffee and some lunch, it will be so nice to see them both.
Not sure about dinner tonight it might be something quick like jacket potatoes and salad, I have put a wash on this morning which can go on the airer once it’s done.
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Good morning
After a slightly warmer sunny day yesterday it's raining again.
Planted some chocolate sweet peppers yesterday, I assume it's just the colour and not the taste. Decided it's not worth growing much, maybe a couple of tomato plants needed.
Need some milk, so I'll have a walk, hopefully between showers. Trying to use things from the freezer.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning all - thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons - hope you find the gold card. Olympic watching is so addictive @TravellingAbuela. How lovely that you are keeping in touch with Matt @RedRuby1231, enjoy the visit. Haven't heard of chocolate sweet peppers @silver-oldie, it'll be interesting to see how they turn out.
The knife delivery was smooth yesterday, the chap didn't even ask for proof of age, I suppose he could tell that I was over 18 years of age. 😀 Then my new duvet covers arrived too so I'm ready for the next bedding change day which should be less challenging.
The lovely neighbour who toots his horn each morning as he races his children to school called round to fix my sticky drawers. It's a seven-drawer chest up in my bedroom and the drawers started to stick over last summer which is so annoying and difficult. He worked out how they came out, not the usual construction, and found why they were sticking. He did the top three which are the most used, took them out and then did his magic outside planing some parts. The others aren't so urgent so they'll get sorted at a later date.
In the early evening the GP receptionist phoned to ask me to bring in another sample today, there must be something odd in the one I did on Monday. Perhaps I need a different AB - still haven't heard from the GP about the waiting times. I've got a parcel to return to the delivery office and an appointment with the pharmacy for BP check. Then, if the weather stays fine, I'm going down to Glasgow to collect Lionel's ashes. He asked that he be scattered here at the same place my late DM was so I'll do that later on in the year on a fine day. His niece and her partner will probably drive up too as part of a longer Scottish road trip.
It's a chilly day here, zero degrees this morning with the promise of a mighty five to come. I hope that all are safe and warm, take care. Hugs all round.

Morning all
I’m flagging, seems to have been a long and busy week and I had 4x snoozes on the alarm today!
The Diamond Wedding ‘celebrations ’ went fine such as they were - I made cake and dinner while they were out for lunch and feel like I lived in the kitchen all afternoon. The house looks like a florist which is nice given the continued grey , wet weather.
Going to a large garden centre for coffee and cake and some shopping no doubt - there happens to be an outdoor shop and craft shop there too……that’s my kind of shopping, not that I need anything.
Hope all the Dr and Hospital appts go well for everyone, and safe travels @Gers

Going to a friends this morning to stay with her ,whilst her husband goes to a funeral ,she fell and broke her hip nearly a fortnight ago ,had a replacement ,has only been out of hospital a couple of days and is really having a v slow recovery .
Obviously different if you have someone to pander to your every whim !

Good morning
Raining again…..although we are forecast a brief dry spell around lunchtime. Hope so as I really need to do some shopping, I haven't done any in over a week. Therefore I have no idea what's for tea, there are some pork chops in the freezer, unless I venture out and get something else. Will have to ask on Fb how bad the roads are flooded.
Other than that nothing planned, this weather really does make me slothful.
Have a good day all, take care.

morning everyone we have a good covering of snow not looking forward to going to the food waste today probably only me and a couple others will be there it doesn’t take much to put them off last week we unloaded the van packed 89 bags and 29 for the next place she was going to because she was on her own they had no volunteers we only had 4 of us it’s surprising when the weather is bad how many have bad belly’s and bad backs never mind nothing you can do about it it’s the same everywhere. Red Ruby I will be thinking about your dog today my little dog had her booster yesterday and her heart check up her breath is terrible and when we first got her from a rescue centre she had to have 13 teeth extracted she was nearly 2 and she was fine but at nearly 13 and a bad heart they won’t do anything but she was happy she had no pain so she just has to be left alone but it cost us £84 to be told that and then £148 for tablets it was an expensive day she goes every six month I will never be a millionaire. Silver oldie you will have to keep us informed how your plants turn out sounds very interesting AA pleased you had a good day and everything went as planned. Suffolk sue my friend had a fall and broke her ankle 12 weeks ago she’s still struggling it’s a long job . Well I need to get cracking not that I feel like it I will be alright when I get there and it will be nice and warm in the charity shop this afternoon I will thaw out there . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Moring all, it's raining here again after 2 dry days.
Mr Fix it finally had his bloods done at the hospital, but it's almost an hour journey there for a 5mins appointment, then an hour home. At least the sun was out and it's set in the countryside so the trip was pleasant.
This morning I've got an appointment at the surgery with a nurse, afterwards I'll visit the chemist to pick up some meds then go to see Dad. He asked me last night to call in a shop for some ginger biscuits as apparently "someone" said they are good for you, so I'll pop into the co op as it's next door to the chemist. I don't know where he gets his information from because the other week he asked for turmeric which is apparently good for you too, although it's still sits in an unopened jar 🤷♂️
Gers and Red Ruby I hope you get your medical appointments asap.
Hugs to everyone and have a good day whatever you are doing if you can.
nan xx

Morning all
Damp and misty out there this morning. Did some food shopping and got home safe and sound on Friday 13th!!
Expecting cold dry and sunny weather tomorrow. I won't hold my breathe.
Nothing planned today except watching the Olympics later. Stir fry for dinner.
Have a good day all x
