What does the warranty say about consequential costs?
They can be brought into play under consumer rights, but your consumer rights against the retailer died when the retailer closed.

Your rights with regards to this would be with the retailer - unfortunately as they no longer exist, you're relying solely on the warranty which will likely exclude consequential losses.
Does the 50% they've offered line up with the terms of their warranty?
