Had a DRO finalised a couple of years ago, and still have agencies that werw included in my DRO contacting me looking to pay debts off. Had another one for another debt that was covered today. Once via mail in the week and now an email today. I dont want to contact them to put them right as I know that ANY contact is seen as "proof" of debt via contact. What can I do?

Absolutely you should contact them and say

This debt was included in DRO XYZ123, granted (date) and now completed. As such,.you have now right of action. Please stop all communication.

It is Insolvency Act 1986 s251I

It is not possible to "prove" a debt by saying that you no longer owe it. So do what @fatbelly has suggested for this debt and any others that contact you.

Have you looked at your credit reports and seen if any of the debts that went into the DRO did not have default dates added at the start of the DRO and/or were not marked as satisfied or partieally satisfied at the end of the DRO? You may not care about your credit score, but getting these debts correctly marked can stop most of the sorts of contact you are currently getting.

Yea, "proof" of debt via contact.

Bit of an old wife`s tale that one, it has no basis in anything really, so what if you admit liability for a debt, means nothing, its just a made up myth.

The only time it would matter, is if you intended to rely on the limitation act as a defence, only in those circumstances does written acknowledgement count for anything.

Fatbelly lays it all out for you above, the DRO rules are their for your protection from unjust collection activity by a debt collector, stand up for yourself and set the record straight.
