Using Scottish Power EV Tariff
I would encourage anyone using the Scottish Power's EV Tariff to check their electricity bill carefully. Three times in a row my bill has had adding up errors in it, the mistake being in their favour!
Having tried to get them to fix the problem twice, I have switched to Octopus and received a final bill from Scottish Power with similar adding up errors.

I was buttonholed by someone attempting to drum up business for SP, as I went into a supermarket last week. I told him how SP had made my life a complete misery, and if they were the last supplier going I'd rather sit in the dark than ever use them again. Vile company.

What is the scale of the errors?
Are you talking about a few pennies due to rounding errors and VAT calculations, or something larger?

The errors are in the adding up of the costs of the various elements of the bill - peak, off-peak, standing charge. The amounts were £12.57, £28.40, and £23.40. The amounts aren't huge, but if the bill doesn't add up correctly what else is wrong?

With amounts that large, either there is something badly wrong with the bill, or there is a misunderstanding about which bits are including and excluding VAT for example.
