where to find advice on moving to new phone provider...
Total noob to the community here, so please be patient. I'm seeking advice on moving my land line provider. Briefly, I have a small business in Leeds and the current provider wants me to sign up for another 7 years. They weren't clear about this until I insisted on clarification, so I want to move to a new provider. Where to ask for advice?

I just googled 'best business broadband' (do you also need broadband?) and ended up with XLN Telecom, who I think are now called Daisy.
Their customer 'service' leaves a bit to be desired …. till I gave my cancellation notice …. now paying 31.19 inc vat for inclusive calls and FTTC broadband

A proposed 7 year 'renewal' contract… well definitely stuff that! What provider is it?

What's your current broadband situation? Phones are moving away from the old copper landlines to VoIP, using FTTP (fibre to the premises). You might be best with moving to FTTP, assuming you have broadband at the property, and getting a VoIP hone. You can port your old number, and it doesn't have to be with the broadband provider.
There will be people here who know much more about this than I do
