Morning All
Thanks for the start Gers.
It's much colder here this morning with a stiff breeze. If I was home I would put some washing out but I don't think it's to stay dry all day.
Hope you're not too sore Coxy, Mehefin made a good suggestion with informing the dog warden, especially if it's a dog walker in charge.
Fingers crossed you get news on medical appointments soon Gers and Ruby.
My car remains in the garage, they've identified the problem (which is as I had previously been told) but want to know what type of oil was put in at the last service - I've no idea as it was done before I bought it. I feel a bit of an arguement going on!
I've got out a thicker coat this morning as the bus is so cold going to work it takes me ages to warm up. Can't really complain as I don't pay with having an old folk's bus pass!
Coal delivery this morning so I've been out and opened the gate - I was in my dressing gown and it was pretty cold!
Take care. XX

Morning Gers and all to follow
It’s too dark to see what the weather is doing but the forecast is for rain all day which will make a nice change 🙄
I am off to see O today the new carer lasted less than 24 hours, she was useless and in it for an easy ride I think, she was up when I arrived at 8 and we showered him together she asked if we used the shower head to clean his teeth 😳and then tried to clean his teeth with an electric toothbrush which was not turned on, I fed him his cereal while she had her breakfast and then I toasted him some crumpets and asked her if she wanted to feed him those, she said no it’s time for my break now ( she had worked for less than an hour) and went up to her room, I took O out for a long walk and when we got back she was still in her room I then made his lunch and fed him and when I left she was still on a break over four hours later, his mum emailed me in the evening to say she had gone, so I will find out what happened today, I think she was expecting to be more of a companion as she said with her previous client she just sat and read all day!
Dinner tonight will be HM chicken Kiev with chips and sweetcorn, I will make the kievs when I get in later, I have put a wash on which will have to go on the airer.
Thanks for all the good wishes re the hospital appointment, I have another appointment in March so will find out more then.
Coxy that’s terrible, hope you are ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Back though still snug.
That carer has some neck @RedRuby1231, I hope that O's mum can find someone more professional soon. Such a shame for the chap. @camelot1001 at least the problem has been found and you have your warranty. Shouldn't be a fight for you, fingers crossed. Congratulations to @AlwaysAllie - that's some achievement. And I hope that @dp1's little one is on the mend.
I stayed home for most of the day yesterday until after the postie had been. She gave me the JL parcel but once she'd gone I noticed that the address label was for someone on Orkney. 😱 I drove off to the local delivery office to hand it in. At first it was a puzzle as to how it ended up here before we noticed another label for me. The Orkney one must have come off another parcel and somehow became attached to mine. Back home I trekked. 😎
I spoke to my lovely GP so now she's going to find out the waiting times for urology, my own research shows between seven and 13 weeks for first appointment so it's not looking too good. It may need some loosening of my purse strings
Today I have to stay home again as I'm expecting delivery of a new kitchen knife so have to be in and it could be anytime. I've taken soup and some chicken out of the freezer for lunch.
The weather forecast ranges from dire warnings of snow to a cold sunny dry day. Whichever one comes I hope that all are safe and warm. Hugs to poorlies.

Morning all
@RedRuby1231 as my old nan would have said she's got more front than Brighton! Fancy expecting to be paid to do a job and sit upstairs in her room for half the day!
Nothing planned here apart from a bit of dusting and mopping. Might get out into the garden for a little while as we're expecting rain later. Surprise, surprise!
I shall miss the Winter Olympics once it's finished, especially enjoying the curling.
Have a good day all x

Morning
We had a day with barely any rain yesterday and even some blue sky for a while. Sleet forecast tomorrow 😂
Hope all the poorlies are coping, @Gers that sounds like potentially a long wait even for the first appointment, hope you can find out more to make your decision. @Coxy11 thats awful, hope you’re not too sore, people not in control of their dogs are (one of) my pet peeves alongside those that just let theirs roam and say ‘it’s ok they’re friendly’ - my reply is usually ‘yes but how would you like it if I stuck my face right in yours, or worse’! Sorry rant over 😂
Anyway, parents are off out with friends celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary, I’ll take them out tomorrow. They’ve already had their card that I organised from the King and Queen. I’ll make a cake while they’re out and Mexican has been requested for dinner so creamy chipotle chicken it is.
The new freezer is good - just going to give it another 12 hours to get down to temperature and tomorrow can be swop day -old one being collected next week - it’s a bit crowded in the garage!
take care allAA

Morning folks and thanks GERS.
Another day of same old same old gloomy weather. It's not raining at the moment but I expect it will be along soon.
ALLIE I hope your parents enjoy their special day. RUBY that carer sounds next to useless, I think O is well rid of her. COXY I hope you are feeling a bit better today. GERS I hope the new abs are doing the trick for now.
I had a good sort out of the tins and jars yesterday and I have now got a bag of stuff for the food bank collection point. Stuff I have been tempted to buy as on offer but keep putting put back in, knowing I will probably never use them and someone else might.
Have a good day folks if you can with ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all x

Good morning
Well, its dry here at the moment, don't say it too loud, as rain expected later.
Plans for today are to cancel BDs health plan at the vets, we are talking to another vet the other end of the village. We lost confidence in our vet last year when they said BD had to be sedated for his check up and booster, which we did but they still wouldn't give him a proper check up as they were nervous of him. They asked if they could muzzle him, poor boy was almost asleep due to the sedation. We only went there as the vet who used to look after our previous dogs owns the practice, but we never see her. It seems that the vets there are fresh out of vets school and don't have the experience of dealing with big dogs, although BD isn't a giant, he's more medium sized.
Talking of dogs, Coxy, how are you today?
Ruby, the cheek of the woman. It's a good job you were there. How would O have got on otherwise?
Oh well, better do a dog walk while it's dry, such luxury.
Have a good day all, take care.

Morning all, thanks Gers. It's dry and I can see a patch of blue- much colder though. Not been out yet.
Nothing much to report, DS and the kids are off skiing on Sunday so have been getting lots of parcels for him. We don't have to pick DGS up tonight- no football training.
I suppose I'd better take Ldog out, he's mooching about.
Roast chicken for tea. Take care all.

morning everyone thanks for the start Gers hope the abs are kicking in . Allie I hope your parents enjoy there special day . Ruby I would be furious what a lazy useless lump . Remmywe are takeout little dog to the vet today just for her booster and a check up we Changed our vet when we had our last dog he was another one that wanted everything knocked out to do anything she was as placid and calm a dog as you could get but of course it cost more to sedate them he had a license to print money. It’s still raining with snow forcast for later and it’s really cold when will it ever end . Homemade fish and chips with mushy peas tonight. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all, there was a brief dry spell just now but then it went back to rain. I kind of don't mind but I do want to get on in the garden and it keeps stopping play. The wood chip turned up, a tipper load, took me and OH an hour and a half to bag it up, good job I'd bought the two accidentally enormous garden bags otherwise there'd still be a pile on the drive now. Plans for today involve fetching some cardboard, and then making some cookies [ got the wrong day yesterday]. Not really sure what else, there are some polpette left from last night but I think OH can have those and I'll have some sugo from the freezer with some pasta.
Allie, Happy Massive anniversary to your parents! Coxy, hope it's better today. Ruby, what a cheek…I'd like a job where I sat around and read all day too please. Take care all….
