Merlin annual pass with stay at resort
Regarding this article:
It says "Merlin told us passes are digital, and can be activated at any point from the date of booking, but you will need to activate any passes before your stay, as it gives you access to the attraction.".
Is this really the date of booking (i.e. today if I book now) or the date of the booking (i.e. first day of resort stay)? I am planning to Legoland in a few days and wondering if I just book a stay at a cheap park in April to get the pass.

It means if you booked it today to stay in May, you could activate it today or anytime between now and your stay in May. You might want to go to a site somewhere else before your actual booking, for example. Bear in mind the price quoted for the stays is per person based on 4 people - so well over £200 a night on the cheapest. Still might be worth it of course. We had an annual Merlin pass a few years ago and blitzed every sight to get our moneys worth.

It may activate now but with a start date of the booking,
Depending on how many people would be going , have you found a booking that is cheaper than buying tickets/ passes you need, as accommodation may be units based on 4 people sharing and priced per unit.
