Morning all, raining again! Thanks Gers, sorry to hear you need another op, no wonder you've been feeling grotty.
Likewise Ruby, sorry to hear this - I know what you mean about MRIs.
I have an Oc**o order at lunchtime, needed to edit as DH came into morries after his haircut to meet me and ended up chucking loads of stuff in. I did get 2 storage tubs reduced to £4, so one for the wild bird seed, and the other to replace the battered dog food one.
Camelot- the garage has had our car over 3 weeks now and we haven't heard a thing yet. Hope you get yours back quicker.
We had a quick sausage and mash last night, tea will be something from the shopping order. I made a loaf in the bm yesterday , made a smaller one as some always seems to get wasted.
Coxy hope you are ok after the dog attack, thats awful.
That's about it from me,take care everyone.

The mizzle drizzle whatever it is has formed a sort of thick haze here and dh had to be very cautious when he drove eldest ds to work ( he starts at 7 - his car has stopped working and he's been walking the couple of miles to work each day but the weather is just so awful we persuaded him to accept a bit of help😊) Which is I guess my way of saying I'll be glad when we have a change in the weather!
RedRuby - oh that is a lot to process, I hope your MRI ( even though you won't look forward to it) appt comes through soon and wish you all the best with your decision making.
Gers - I hate the fact that you may have to look at going privately to get relief from a horrible condition, but as someone who did wait it out for a hernia operation ( not as painful as bladder stuff but the last year wasn't much fun for me) I think finding out waiting list times is a very important thing to do.
Coxy - how scary, I am so glad you reported it to the police, I'm shocked that the dog walker didn't even check that you were okay. I hope today you get to prioritise your recovery.
Today I am going to have to go back to Mum's, would you believe I had taken all the keys I normally keep in my handbag out when I went into hospital, and I forgot to put them back! I did pop into one of the nice charity shops near Mum's house and buy her a what looks like new M&S collection jumper for £4 ( prices are higher in the chazzas on the nice side of town) so at least I did one good thing……..10 -
Morning! Yep, still raining, just in case anyone thought we might have sidestepped it…Today I'm waiting for the woodchip, when that arrives, it'll be bag it up, and then decide what to do with it. I have some gluten free cookies to make but I need some gram flour, some leftover pork will be turned into polpette, I need some parsley for that. I'd like to try making some savoury cookie type things, so got to get the anchovies out for that one. The magic cupboard is doing it's thing, I could do some washing but I'm not sure I cba…So a kind of busy day doing mostly stuff I like, which is never a bad thing :)
Coxy, how awful! That's so irresponsible, hope she's identified, if she's got a dog that does that, next time it might not be an adult. Which is not to say it's any better for you…must have been scary and well done for saying no dice to a boss who can't plan ahead. Ruby, glad they've identified the problem..I'd be wondering about having another op too, sometimes it's just too much to go through again. but whatever you decide, we'll be clapping you on. Gers, it's not a failing to have something done quicker if you can and suffer less in the process. Take care all, stay undamp and unsoggy…

Morning everyone
Still raining…
Coxy - that's terrible, I hope the lady is found, the dog should be on a lead. Well done on saying you couldn't go when the boss lady asked so late at night…that's ridiculous.
Gers and Redruby - I hope neither of you have to wait long for further treatment.
DD had a worrying time at the hospital with little one yesterday. She thought she'd just be given a different cream, but the doctor said she might need another operation to remove her tube and put a new hole in her tummy for the tube to go in. Anyways, she had an ultra sound and all seem ok inside, just this infection to deal with so she's got a stronger antibiotic for 10 days which will hopefully do the trick. I expect it will make her feel sick though.
DD has training on Friday so I've swopped my shifts so I can have little one on Friday, so I'm working today instead. I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa first. I've no fruit left to go in my packed lunch, so I'll pinch a couple of satsumas as she bought 2 bags on Monday.
Best get moving, I hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all from Mehefinland
@Coxy11 it might be worth reporting your dog encounter with your local dog warden. If the lady is a registered dog walker ( which they have to be here if taking monies) then they may know who it is and have word in their ear.. I was bitten in similar circumstances as a youngster and still have a hole in my thigh muscle. it is skinned over but I am conscious that it's there. Certainly not good form on the walker's part!
Mixed bag of weather here too - torrential rain yesterday afternoon after a brief appearance of the yellow orb, and rinse and repeat on the cards today. I'm just glad my field drains well and doesn't turn into swamp.
Just bumped into the accompanist for the students at the college whilst at the agricultural merchants - you know how it is when you meet someone in the 'wrong' place. We both looked at each other with that sort of puzzled look, and then the penny dropped. Quick chat and off we went to dodge the rain.
Foodshare today, and another batch of meetings!! It's beginning to get rather tiresome. I will temper it with my second choir this evening - and I'm dragging along another potential new member.
Hugs and spons as always - hope those in need of medical intervention get sorted quickly

morning everyone Coxy that is shocking we have always had dogs and I’m horrified at how many irresponsible dog owners they are from not pickup the dog poo to letting them run around doing what they like and saying he won’t hurt you he only wants to play 😡drives me mad but it does sound like she could be a dog walker well done for reporting it . Gers and Redruby I hope neither of you have to wait to long to get sorted quickly I know it’s not something either of you want but hears to feeling better soon . DP1 your poor little one has had so much to deal with I hope these antibiotics work and she is soon feeling well again. Well I may as well join in it’s absolutely tipping down here my dog goes not mind the rain but she hates her coat on I took it off yesterday and let her get wet it would of taken us all day to get home she was walking so slow and I was frozen little madam . I really need to give my kitchen floor a good scrub and it’s not going to get done while I’m sat here but I’ve just finished a cleaning job and I’m having a cuppa then I will crack on jacket potatoes sausage and beans tonight nice and easy . We have the vets tomorrow for little dogs check up and booster I will be in the poor house when we have paid that bill . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

COXY I was so sorry to read about your dog attack and well done for reporting it to the police. .Like MEHEFIN my DS was attacked by a dog when he was child and in similar circumstances to your attack. Walking past a dog on a lead it just jumped on DS who was only 3 at the time. It was a traumatic time I will never be able to forget and I wouldn't want to hear of any dog doing similar to a child. We were rushed to our local hospital but had to be transferred to a hospital further afield because of the extent of his injuries. He was left with a scar on his face and we were told at the time that he could have a graft when he got older. But he never wanted the graft, he said the scar was part of who he is and he would live with it. Of course the dog was destroyed but, on hearing of its history we were not surprised how it turned out. With a responsible owner this might not have happened.

Thanks @ScarletRibbons for starting us off and a good morning to one and all.
Yes, it's raining again or, should I say, still raining! It's getting very boring now and I just hope we have a decent summer after all this.
My Sainsbury's delivery has been and gone, sooner than expected as the driver phoned to ask if he could come early. I said that would be fine as I was all ready for him anyway. All P&C, put away and inventoried so that job is out of the way. 😊 Only two price increases this time; 5p on a box of teabags and 10p on a bag of sultanas, both own brand. 😕 The WM is whirring away and the airer will soon be festooned with laundry (again); after I've re-made my bed the day is my own but….. what to do when the enthusiasm just isn't there? I'm sure I'll find something! Tea tonight is a creamy coconut chicken curry with rice and a small custard tart for afters.
@camelot1001 and @RosyRed - Fingers crossed you don't have to wait too long to get your cars back.
@Red_ruby - Good to hear your consultation was quick and went well, not so good the thought of another operation. Your poor DD certainly will be shattered when she gets home after that long shift.
@Gers - I'm glad the CT scan has shown what the problem is and hope the necessary operation waiting time isn't too long, although if it is, I think I know what you will opt for. Good for you on sticking to your guns re the parcel return too.
@AlwaysAllie - Wow, a diamond anniversary - that's impressive!
@Coxy11 - That's a shocking thing to happen; it doesn't matter whether the woman was the dog owner or a dog walker, she's supposed to be in charge. I don't blame you for not being flexible with work either after the day's events.
@dp1 - I hope LO's infection responds to the stronger ABs and yet another operation isn't needed.
Nothing else to waffle on about so I'll wish everyone a good day (or a better day for some), @MollyWindley - don't forget your keys! Take care all, stay dry if you can. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Coxy, what a shock for you to be bitten like that, and how irresponsible of the walker/owner to do nothing.
It's a good idea of Mehefin's to report to the local dog warden.
Hope you'll be all right

Oh my Coxy, how frightening for you. I would be so angry with the dog walker. I hope you make a speedy recovery.
